Yager GT 200i / Re: CELP Codes for 2012 Yager GT 200i
« on: August 06, 2014, 10:10:36 AM »
Thanks Yager200i for posting the list to my thread!  I'm getting code 16 (one slow, six fast blinks).  I'll have to look closer at the engine temp sensor.  First I need to get a new battery though.  My Yager won't start up even after hours on the battery charger.  Starter seems to be working and from what I've read a number of people have had to replace battery in first two years.  Anyway, thanks again!

One more question Yager200i.  Where did you get a hold of your Kymco diagnostic tool?  Is it worth spending the money on vs. just checking the codes for the CELP light blinks?

Yager GT 200i / CELP Codes for 2012 Yager GT 200i
« on: October 14, 2013, 02:29:04 PM »
I'm trying to figure out the CELP codes for my 2012 Yager.  I think that the diagnostic blinks on the 2012 may be different than the 2010 model.  The 2012 Yager model appears to use the blink pattern similar to the 2012 Like models where 1 second flashes signify the tens digit and 1/2 second flashes signify the ones digit.  Does anyone out there have a 2012 Yager service manual?  I've got a copy of the 2010 version but I want to make sure that the codes themselves haven't changed between the models.  I'm getting one long flash and six shorter flashes which would appear to indicate a code 16 fault - Cylinder Head Thermo-sensor fault - based on the 2010 manual.  I've been seeing this happen quite a bit over the last month so I'd appreciate any feedback you guys have.  Thanks.

I've noticed the same thing.  I usually just open the throttle a little and hold it there for a few seconds after starting and then I'm usually fine.

Thanks fshfindr.  I sent you a message with my email.  I'll have to look into TNT Cycles then.  Thanks for the info.

Also, has anyone had any luck getting a hold of the service manual for the Yager?  Mine's a 2012 but I'm guessing that there's no significant difference between it and the 2010.  Also, what are some of the preferred places for ordering parts.  I've seen Dennis Kirk listed.  Also found KymcoParts123 and 2WheelPros.  Wondering who you all turn to for parts.

Yager GT 200i / A couple minor issues
« on: March 30, 2012, 01:40:46 PM »
Looking at changing the engine oil and gear oil this weekend.  I haven't taken the drain plugs out yet and was wondering if anyone can tell me what size aluminum crush washers I need to get to replace the ones on the drain plugs.

Also, I've noticed that when it warms up I get a little bit of condensation in the lower right corner of the instrument panel.  I saw a couple of older posts related to this.  Anyone had experience getting that taken care of as a warranty item?  Or is there an easy way to take the cover off and then seal it back up well?

Thanks.

Got the Yager yesterday.  Got about 60 miles on it between yesterday and today.  Handles great.  Seems like a nice solid bike.  Now to work on my riding skills.  ;D

Yager GT 200i / Questions about the Yager
« on: February 24, 2012, 05:56:21 PM »
I'm new to scootering and I'm looking at getting one for commuting.  The Yager seems to have exactly what I'm looking for and the reviews I've seen are good.  No dealer in the area carries them for me to check it out in person so I'm debating having one ordered sight unseen.  But I have a few questions to get answered before I do.

I was able to sit on a Kymco People S200 and it was very comfortable.  Can anyone tell me if the two have a similar feel to them.  I'm 5' 11" so as long as it's a bigger feel than the Genuine Buddy's or the Kymco Like I think it should be OK.  Also, the fact that none of my local dealers carry the Yager in stock gives me pause.  My concern is that if it isn't selling well enough to stock could that also impact availability.  Are parts pretty easy to come by for the Yager?

Those are my two main concerns.  The local dealer I'm looking at can assist me with service if need be.  I appreciate any help you can give.  Thanks.
