While I was watching tv I came across the lumia 928 commercial and what caught my Eye was this

I think the value of it is that the probably remolded all the parts in Clear Plexiglas and then added the neon lights, overall they are great looking scooters, but I doubt they are street legal.

I would love to know if there is a shop in the U.S. That could do something like this.

ps

The back scooter looks like and old honda Elite and the front one looks almost like a Vespa, but is hard to say.

you gotta push the cover , that why u cant line it up, I always had that problem until i discover that is the issue. When u remove the triangular part look at the top, you will see is like a plastic screen in the front, you just gotta push it up, i usually use a screwdriver to bring it up to position while sliding the triangular part in. photo of the part included

Well after Taking it to the local bike shop where it diagnose it to be the light assembly unit, 2 wrong parts from kymco (the 2012 super 8 150 uses the 2011 light ass unit) i finally got the correct part and after I changed it still doing the same. >:(

It seems i ran outta options i am going to have to take it back to the dealer. I keep you all posted what was the issue.

Yes i have notice for the last 3 days the kymco forums website is been sluggish at best, is almost like someone is ddos the main server. I would call costumer support and have them run some test.

yup doubleSc and vivo are correct US bikes are wired differently, there is no way to bypass the assy light control unit without blowing fuses. I ended up taking the bike to the local bike shop where they diagnosed the light control unit as defective (there is the pulse sent from the cdi to the lights) Then called my dealer and a new light control unit is on their way.

Sometimes I wish all bikes where one single standard, but that only wishful thinking, thank you to all the members of the kymco forums for they help and input,

Hi guys for the last week i notice something funny about my lights, they will work fine in idle (both low beams and high beams) but once I throttle up the light's will die and they will comeback again once the bike is in idle again. If I turn the bike off and on the lights will work fine for 10 seconds then it will cut again. This problem has me baffle, I checked the battery, the cables charge and I haven't been able to pinpoint the problem.

When I talked to my dealer he recommended I get the bike in, sadly they are 70 miles form me and it will be a major problem getting the bike to them, specially since they might keep it for a week, so let me ask you, does anyone had this problem before and what was the resolution of it, maybe is something I am over looking.

I think you in advance for any help provided, hopefully the resident geniuses will be able to sterr me in the right direction. I included a short video of the issue

One very necessary mod is to get rid of those incompetent glass fuses and replace them with automotive ATC blade fuses. Blade fuses won't loosen and heat up or corrode.

at the left are the original glass fuse holders, the blue ones at the right are the ATC fuse holders.

Vivo could you maybe do a step by step pictogram of how did you replace them? I would love to do that mod!

Super 8 150 / Re: New to forum, need help with headlight problem
« on: June 17, 2012, 07:08:59 PM »
Thank you, Vivo.
But, my understanding is that if I do that, the battery will constantly be going dead. This is what I was told by the previous owner, and also by the mechanic who services Kymco bikes in town here. They both told me that the 2009 Super 8 150, which is the one I have, was originally made without that relay, and it caused poor battery performance. They told me there was a recall on the bikes, to add the relay so that the batteries would work. Is this not true?
Thank you
Ryder

Your battery will constantly go dead but what if you use a battery tender often? I haven't done anything to my bike, but since the dealer installed a battery tender plug, I plug it in om my bike every week. This could be a poor's mas solution. Battery tenders are not that expensive and installing the plug is not complicated at all.
