If estimates are correct its around a 3k 82cc build. I spent around that on my 94cc polini evolution piaggio engine, except my evo makes 24 hp no problem. This may net 10-12HP but be ride-able everyday Im guessing.

zx50 / Flotek ported and built 82cc Fabrizi/MHR SC10AS

I commissioned Flotek, http://flotekperformance.com/services ,to build an engine or two. The guy is an awesome and extremely knowledgeable person when it comes to porting and 2 strokes. Hes also a great guy to deal with in general.
If I had met him prior to building my banshee I could have saved hundreds on parts by buying the correct ones first. Now I had to buy all different stuff then what the keyboard mechanics said was "the perfect combo" when in reality the pipes dont even match my cylinders porting. Thanks to me for believing the internet and not asking a professional.
I highly recommend everyone to use him this winter or now if you have time to wait. Hes a super busy guy and Im extremely happy he took the time to build this scooter engine, and my other things.

People 250 / Re: How is it supposed to feel at high speeds?
« on: June 29, 2014, 06:20:17 PM »
Generally speaking if it wobbles at 60+ and not below its tires, thats on a car, truck, scooter, motorcycle, or mattel hot wheel.
Honestly 250cc is the bare minimum for highway, I have many bikes and I no longer ride anything below 600cc on the highway. With that said though I dont believe you shouldnt be on the highway either. I use to ride my heavily modified ke100s for 45 miles both ways on highway 44 to 270 to 30 here locally on the regular to one of my properties, it was going on 11 years strong. If a 1979 rotary valve 108cc AC enduro can do it safely a new 250cc water cooled scooter sure can. Although, I no longer ride my small bikes due to being blown over a whole lane on my klr250 when a 18 wheeler blew past me doing 80 MPH+ on a 60 MPH road, (idiots cant do the speed limit).  After that I vowed to never ride anything under powered. You need that reserve power to pull you out of a head wind.

You can always shim your cover also with washers on every bolt between the cases. Sounds like a nightmare of a time with a kicker cover.

The 16/32 primary gives less than 7:1 on the zx50 and 7.83:1 on the AF05e.
I need something around 7.83 again or 8.10. Its a pain to find them.

Not a soul sells gears for the kymco zx50 anymore. you can get gears for a Honda elite pre 93 with the AF05e gears. I was told by someone china gy6 gears fit but they most certainly do not. Do not buy any gears for the kymco zx50 unless they are malossi 16/32 gears or custom cut gears you had made. Polini had some 15 x 42 gears back in the day but they went with the wind. The daytona gears have to be machined down quite a bit to fit as well, if you can find any NOS sitting on a shelf in japan. Zombie had some custom cut from moped hospital a few years back but I dont think hes up for more. I sent an inquiry a while back and suppose to get some 7.85 gears made. The malossi gears brings your ratio bottom line to 6.91:1 ratio, far from the factory 11:1 ratio.

zx50 / Re: Fuel vacuum issues, please help
« on: June 27, 2014, 03:05:10 PM »
Its incredible you had 150 psi with a leaking crank seal, With leaking crank seals you should see half or less than half that. Also 150 psi is incredibly high for the stock kymco sc10as. From the factory theyre around 138 psi average. It takes a minimum of 100 psi to ignite a wet fart in these cylinders and anything below is done for and a waste of energy trying to make it ignite. Ive had 90 psi kymcos that would start but you had to kick it so fast you thought your leg would fall off.
Very strange to have 150 psi tho, only explanation for higher than new compression is carbon build up on the piston and head. And if thats the case youre going to have a lot of detonation. Higher the compression, more fuel needed to start.
