Disconnecting the battery may have cleared any memory.  If you see a pattern maybe can find out what it means.

Start the motor.
Turn off the ignition.
Turn the ignition switch to ON
- the check engine light comes on for 2 seconds
- after light goes out wait prox. five seconds for the light to flash twice (indicates it received the self-diagnostic request)
- after the flash twice wait a few more seconds to see if it illuminates with long (1 sec.) and/or short (rapid) flashes in a repeating pattern.

Like Fernando Lamas used to say on the Carson show, "Johnny, It is better to look good than to feel good"   ;D  I'm ordering my PA speakers as we speak.

Very cool... and my euro hi-vis orange helmet and can start supplementing my income!
I'll pull over peeps for rolling stops! lol

I pulled the CVT cover and blew out the belt dust Vivo talked about.  I was sure to aim for the holes in the clutch housing and saw significant dust fly out of there.  Immediately I got the responsive clutch back.  Yep, mine gets up to 50 pretty easily.  Let me know if you also ultimately get up to 60 or more ckg before I yank and hone the engine this winter... If at 1100 miles that's plenty for hopeful break-in... maybe it's time for some synth.

not well.  It's not increasing past 53 mph on a straight level new pavement - same as the day i got it only now have 1100 miles.  Here's what I think I did wrong:  The dealer told me he got up to 60 no problem, so I've been pounding this thing trying to get up to that, only to find out he was mistakenly talking about kilometers/hr.  :/ Although I changed the factory oil to a simple oil I used castrol GTX which i now hear was easy to glaze cylinders back in the '70s.  Not real significant I suppose but the real deal is I went on about 10 - 30 mile trips at 45 mph without stopping each trip, so the engine probably got pretty hot and may have glazed the cylinders.  I probably should have made it more intermittent.  Good thing though is I'm not burning oil so...

Moral to the story: Old school oil and don't get it too hot...

It would be interesting to see what most others are seeing with their Likes.

Congrats on the Delivery!!

Sounds great although you might consider holding off on the synthetic oil until after 1000 miles. I don't know beans but the research (google Lol) I've done suggests a simple conventional oil formulation is best to encourage wear between the piston rings and the cylinder wall - so they can "mate" to each other -which I hear is the reason for engine break in.   Anybody else have thoughts on this?

Please don't take my word for it, check it out yourself. Synthetics might be too slippery for now.
Exciting stuff working on the scoot. Just set my valves today with satisfactory results.  Too damn hot but still fun riding.

You've got no argument here.  Being able to leave $1000 MSRP on the table was pretty aggressive on their part.

Makes me wonder how those mainland counterfeit semiconductors are holding up for the pentagon.

I'll check the filter and hear shield for sure.  I'd expect any other facility would iron out their quality issues.  Wonder if there's any animosity in the Mainland working for the Taiwanese.

I am starting to doubt the quality of workmanship.  Solenoid nuts were barely finger-tight.  Like they were tightened with a thumb qnd pinkie!  Tightened reasonably and it quit working. Loosened negative nut an eighth turn and it works.  I'm not impressed with the quality much. Some trim screws are cross threaded in the clips.  My front outside brake pad was also installed behind the spring clip instead of atop the clip.  This caused the pad to contact the disc at a 20 degree angle instead of parallel with the disc.  I dunno. I like the price (like a ruckus) so I guess putzing with my like is my new hobby.

Great news.  How stubborn was the cvt case to get off?  Mine wouldn't budge... did you pry some of the tabs, use a rubber mallet?  I removed all the bolts and was concerned it I'd leave tell tale marks in the case.
