I just bought a 2010 Yager GT 200i used with about 1500 miles on it last week so am a new forum member and Yager owner. The digital fuel gauge on the instrument panel comes on when you first turn on the key and then most of the time it goes off again (blank screen where the fuel gauge should be). Once in a while it will come back on and seems to show the correct amount of fuel. The speedometer, odometer, and other gauges all seem to work fine. This sounds like a loose connection somewhere and I'm trying to figure out how to fix this so the fuel gauge is always on.
I found a loose part that I'm wondering if it might be related. When buying the scooter and filling out the bill of sale I pulled the little cover to get the VIN and the previous owner was putting it back on and dropped it in the hole it was supposed to cover. Later, I took off the bottom cover underneath the Yager and found the VIN cover but also found a rubber connector of some kind (see attached pictures). I looked around but didn't see anything that looked like where it came from. Have also been trying to find a service manual to see if I can find it there somewhere but no luck. Do any of you have any ideas on how I can get the fuel gauge to work and what this piece is? Thanks for the help
