Nice to see your bikes are going well, Vivo, Max and Hairy Bob  :)

After almost 2.5 years since I lost my Venox, I've finally saved up and bought a new bike. Took a while to recover and get the missus to approve of me riding again though  ;D Although I didn't buy another Venox. I went to the dark side and bought a Kawasaki Ninja lol :) Here is Miranda

I miss my Venox, perhaps one day I'll come back to one :)

I still have the service manuals for the Venox 250. So if you guys have any questions regarding DIY etc. I'm happy to post the relevant pages up. It's too big to post every page of the manual.

;D Thanks for the support, Bob
Yeah for sure, I'm happy that I can still walk after that. I'll be looking for a new bike once the wife settles down haha but in regards to the harley.. I don't think I'll get one. I've been doing a little research and found out they're really high maintenance and burns a hole in most people's wallets.

I've had a go on my friend's kawasaki ninja 300, and I think I'll be looking into a sports bike next... But haven't made up my mind, there's still a few cruisers I really like also, maybe even get another venox XD but I'll just have to wait and see once the time comes.

Glad you're enjoying your bike and it's still going hard, I was looking at a few photos of my old venox, I took pictures of the odometer at each 1000km up to 4000km. Miss cruising on my bike :( Ahh well. Like you said, I'll be on the road again one day and I'll definitely be riding even more defensively.

Ride safe and I'll check this forum once a month or so

Hey guys

Haven't been on this forum for a while, had an accident last October - On the way back home, some douche in a parked car opened his door on me and wrote off my bike and put me in hospital for a few days. Still recovering from it. I miss  my Venox :(

Cops say it was my fault - I was filtering through to the red traffic lights, when suddenly the guy opened his door without checking.

Hope you guys are going well, ride safe and maybe I'll be able to ride again soon.. wife kinda won't let me ride lol but she'll ease up later.. I hope.

Venox 250 / Re: How often do you replace your battery in Venox 250?
« on: September 08, 2012, 01:54:31 PM »
Hi Carol,

Battery life depends where you live (climate). Usually lasting between 3-5 years.

If you had to replace a new battery within 12 months, then there might be a few things to consider;
1. Batteries hate the cold - it reduces their charge.
2. It maybe a faulty battery.
3. Maybe a faulty alternator/A.C. generator

I've posted a few pages of the Venox service manual, all the pages I could find relating to the battery.

Hope this helps.

Hi,

Hope this helps

I'm guessing you need to fix your idle screw. But I'm no mechanic. These are the steps you can try and perform if you know how, other wise you should bring it in to a mechanic and let them know what your problem is.

Venox 250 / Re: EXHAUST SYSTEM
« on: July 23, 2012, 03:28:47 PM »
Where can I find an exhaust system for the venox?

If you bought your bike brand new, I suggest go to the dealer you bought it off and get them to install the exhaust. That way you're covered under the warranty.

If you've bought your bike second hand, most bike mechanics have the ability to upgrade your exhaust or have a contact they can refer you to.

Hope this helps.
