You can find brown wires throughout the bike.  Brown wires are switched 12V. Which means they're powered when the key is on and no power when key is off. Red wires would be powered all the time with key on or off.

I installed a couple cigarrette lighters with USB adapters on my dash and just picked up power from the headlight circuit, no blown fuses, no overheating, works fine.
