Yager GT 200i / Re: why did Kymco. stop selling Yager?
« on: October 02, 2013, 02:44:10 AM »
My theory is that the Yager was stealing sales from the much more expensive People and Downtown 200 & 300.The Yager is the best bike I ever had, and I had several Kymcos! I have 22,000 miles on it and only recently had to to replace the belt and tires along with oil and filter changes. My mpg has gone up to75-80 and can do 70 mph when conditions are good despite weighing over 200 lbs.It has been as trouble free as any vehicle I have ever owned.I sometimes ride with a scooter gang with Goldwings , Burgmans, and Bimmers. As long as we stay off the interstate, they are always amazed, that I can keep up with them. ;D Good luck all you Yagermeisters out there ;D

A blowout can occur at any speed when you hit something that penetrates the tire. Forrtunately I was going fairly slow and managed to get off the road before anybody hit me.

I found out the hard way how long the stock tires will last! With over 16000 miles on the clock, I had a major blowout all the way through the tire. Thought I could get by till the winter.Only brand available for both tires was Avon.Don't do what I did, check your tread wear indicators. :(

You will also have to take a whole bunch of screws from the other side ,and a couple of nuts and bolts. The whole front plastic panel can then be lifted off after you disconnect all of the connectors. Its way more complicated then it should be.

Have had many scooters and never had to change a headlight before! Also anybody know where to get a stock drive belt at a decent price? Only ones I can find are kevlar for $129!

I have a 2010 with 14000 miles and no problems except a burned out low beam.Anybody know how to do it? Pics would help. This is a much better forum than the the other Kymco Forum that lumps every model together.
