Damn, wass, now I'm real nervous about installing  :-\

I'll let you know if the same problems exist with my pipe as soon as I start hooking things up next week.

Would it be too much to ask for a pic of the work you had to do? Kinda having a hard time imagining what it is I'm going to have to be drilling.

Sorry to hijack, but I needed to ask zombie if he knows if the Like 50 2t has a restricted torque driver? I wouldn't know what to look for in the CVT if so...

Have they sent you your exhaust yes wass? If you haven't heard about it yet I'd recommend you give them a call. They posted my order as "completed" without actually sending one, I'd make sure they haven't messed up and done the same thing to you if they haven't sent you a tracking number yet.

Yeah I read that as well. Not sure which would be cheaper or more efficient, replacing the steel reeds with stiffer carbon fiber reeds or replacing the atomizer bushing and atomizer. I've already ordered the latter so I'm just going to go with that.

Damn... so the carb I received has a 4-stroke atomizer and bushing in it, even though it has the 4 gram float made for 2-strokes. Have to order those parts new now which is pretty irritating, should I get the AU-262 here
https://www.treatland.tv/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=DELLORTO-PHBG-ATOMIZER-AU

and the bushing here?

Maybe the shop near me will be willing to trade them out for me but I'm not getting my hopes up.

Still haven't heard anything about my exhaust from Speed Addict... patience is a virtue or something... GAH I WANNA DO THIS.

I've already bought a nice set of digital calipers that's sensitive to .01 mm +-.005. It's just a waiting game for parts right now. Gonna start a new thread with pictures for the build.

Random question, anyone have an opinion on this belt? It's already on the way and I figured it was probably pretty close to stock and just wanted to have an extra.

General Discussion / Re: WTF just happend????

Keep it for short trips, ya know. It probably gets better mileage and depending on whether or not you have to keep insurance on a 50cc in your area, it's free to keep as well.

But getting cash by selling it is pretty awesome too, I understand.

Well, good reviews so far for the shipping at Racing Planet, Scooterworks, Treatland, and so so for Scooter Assassins. Racing Planet upgraded me to 3-day FedEx for free, even after already free shipping. All provided trackable shipping and are en route except Scooterworks which is already here (fast!). Scooter Assassins has been the slowest, but it is coming from Taiwan to be fair.

Can't wait for the exhaust more than anything, especially since I have the Malossi 19mm PHBG already. It hasn't shipped yet but I know the Like is gonna fly once those two are changed out and it's tuned! My guess is that it'll take a 110 or so, can't imagine after the intake manifold gets put on. The highest jet (125) I'll have might not even be enough. Still haven't ordered a variator, either.

I'm wondering if I'm really doing too much and am going to start sacrificing reliability eventually, especially with the manifold.

Good info there. I've been throwing around the idea of removing the restrictor on the airbox, not sure if I should though. Considering that I'm replacing the carb too I think I will. Seems like it must be one of the main restriction points. I have jets 80-125 on their way, so not really worried about not being able to go up high enough.

Aero makes it sound like the stock airbox just isn't going to be enough airflow for this pipe, especially once the tiny carb's out.

Ha! I think we're getting our pipes from the same shipment! I'm guessing it's this one... if so, we've got some work to do buddy! I just ordered mine and they said it'd be a 5-7 day shipping delay for them to get shipped as well. We're getting the same batch... lol  ;D

It feels like something like that happens to me too. Whenever I'm at full speed, let off the throttle quickly, and give it 1/8-1/4 throttle, it's like it lags or misses on me or something. Interesting to hear you're having a similar issue.

Thanks wass! Ordered it, all I'm lacking now is ordering an exhaust! Can't wait to get started on this...
