Finished dashboard.
Greetings from Hunedoara, Romania.

There is an Electro-Luminescent foil under the LCD display, the foil produces light when an alternative current of 80V at 1000Hz that gets from a built in EL inverter. The built-in inverters tend to fail. So I've managed to bypass and get the dashboard shining again.

Great work! No, i don't have a scooter anymore. It was destroyed in a head-on crash with a left turning van on the 2nd of june 2015 and dismantled it. All i have is spare parts right now. (engine, tires, wheels, tail light, wiring, buttons, brake system, signal light, screws, nuts and bolts) Everything else was scrapped. I also had both my legs fractured (femurs and tibias) in that crash, and i have metallic implants (screws, intramedullary nails, plate, and hip bolt after 4 surgeries). I've recovered nicely since than and now i have a HONDA XL650V TRANSALP motorcycle.  8)

This is my bike now:

You're welcome! You should have connected the + wire (red) of the inverter to the solid brown wire of the dashboard witch you cut away from the PCB of the dashboard, and the - wire (black) of the inverter soldered to the green-black wire of the dashboard without cutting-it, so the inverter would power on as long as the headlights are on.

This is the most common type of motorcycle accident, when an other vehicle turns left in front of a motorcyclist.

Thanks, Wolf! I will sue the crap out of the driver that didn't yield to me before turning left, also i can sue his employer. I was comming from the opposite  to him so he should have yielded to me before turning left.

My Burgman AN400 has a beefy frame - but still would not want to hit something head-on. The Burgman does not have an airbag or a seat belt.....
If the scooter front doesn't come to meet me - I'll be going to meet it.
Same diff...
Hope you have a full and speedy recovery.
Stig
This is awesome! A lesson that KYMCO could learn from.

Careful to avoid a head on collision while riding the Grandvista/Grand Dink. The frame of this model is weak, so in a crash, the front-end will fold on your legs, crushing them.

A better view of my wreck:

Temporary external fixation of my left calf from 2nd of June till 10th of July 2015:

Two cuts: the longer one is where they've inserted the intramedullary rod in my left femur the shorter cut is where they cut a corner bone off my pelvis to shape and insert-it in my right knee joint that was seriously busted.

Reconstructed right knee:

The chopper that transfered me from the hospital of my hometown to a specialised hospital 170 km away:

It was a noisy 35 minute flight while i was drifting in and out of consciousness.
After 45 days and 4 operations in the hospital i was transferred home via an ambulance, it was a 3 hour bumpy ride.
