Super 8 / Re: 2018 Super8 50x derestricting CDI?!!!
« on: August 16, 2018, 02:11:40 PM »
Thanks. Yeah I can agree with the older 2 strokes. (Kicking myself in the a$@ a bit). I did find a couple derestricted CDI's online to buy that are pricey I may try the purple wires that I saw someone else talk about in another post. I will update on what I find.

Super 8 / 2018 Super8 50x derestricting CDI?!!!
« on: August 15, 2018, 09:24:21 PM »
Ok just bought a new 2018 Super8 50x. I noticed that the cdi plug is a completely different type than say any regular old Agility cdi as I have one (2013). How can I go about derestricting the one on the new Super8. I have a kymco derestricted cdi for the Agility but the plugs like I said are not the same! Anyone derestricted a new 2018 Super8 50x?

Agility 50 / Re: headlamp turn signals?
« on: June 06, 2014, 09:50:47 PM »
Thanks guy! They are in the headlamp. I did have the feeling that they are used as signals in other countries due to the wack U.S. standards. lol I will check to see if they are blown. I"ll  grab some amber colored bulbs (to convert to signals) and remove my ugly broken U.S. signals for a cleaner look. 8)

Agility 50 / headlamp turn signals?
« on: May 24, 2014, 05:37:27 PM »
So ever since I bought my 12' agility 50 I never noticed these two bulbs in the actual head lamp because they have never come on and I noticed them today while see what the headlight bulb type was to replace. Can anyone tell me why they aren't working or have never worked and are they extra turn signals? Because I would love to use them eitherway. Thanks

Agility 50 / Re: Belt Issues!.... please help!!!!
« on: September 07, 2013, 04:43:56 PM »
This has happened twice going down hills and I think I has come to a decent reasoning and that is letting of the throttle to hard and the belts shack and that is what is causing them to shred everything was back stock this time but the belt was a little small size this time so thats probably why it was ruined after 4 days. we'll see though. and dang I didnt think about going to napa cuz all the stores I know of are either closed or dont have the right original factory size. thanks.

Agility 50 / Belt Issues!.... please help!!!!
« on: September 07, 2013, 05:45:04 AM »
ok so I have a 2012 kymco agility 50 and when I first got it I installed the ncy trans kit. shredded a belt after 5 months replaced it then installed a new gates power link and after another 5 months shredded it. then just bought a new one (off brand) same size and its been a week and it shredded tonight! before installing I realized that the aluminum starter gear drive plate that came with the trans kit was a little different than the factory and had grooves wore in it bad from the belt so I put the factory variator, wieghts, and the starter gear drive plate in and obviously that did not last but 4 days. anyone had this problem with trans kit, or not, and any ideas on what could be causing this or ideas on trouble shooting this problem. I'm going to have to get another belt tomorrow anyway because this is my only transportation I'm also thinking about buying a factory clutch and rear drive plate assembly to get back to square one. we will see! thanks for any help or ideas!!!!

General Discussion / EGR Block off plate?

First off, I understand what an EGR Valve does. Now, My question is why would you want to block it off? Will doing so give improved performance? Pro's & Con's? Reasons Why?

Thanks

Agility 50 / Re: Naraku Parts Experience
« on: November 14, 2012, 02:39:45 AM »

In my experience anything name brand that isn't NCY seems to be a fairly safe bet. I've heard bad things about NCY but great things about Polini. They are always the most expensive and you usually get what you pay for.

I have to say on my 2012 Agility 50 I have installed a Kymco derestricted CDI, and a NCY Transmission kit but used 5.5gram weights instead of the 9gram weights that came with the kit (because I have lots of hills to ride everyday) and with 3,000+km on it already and 2,000+km on the NCY Transmission Kit. I have nothing bad to say about NCY as of yet. I am too also looking to go 72cc Enviromoto, NCY, or Naraku....Had a bad expereince with Malossi on my Daelim S-Five years ago but that may have been from lack of care on my part... as I was told they are good.

Thanks for letting me share!!!  ;D

i always do mine when cold as the gap is to componsate when the engine is warm. metal expands thats why the gap is there. but my gage only starts at 0.05 so i do it on that but a little tighter. not best solution but works for me. will have to get another gage that starts lower.

Guess I could do it like that Skippy seeing as how I have the same deal with feeler gauge!?!?!

Thanks for the help everyone I'm just about to start but it looks like I may need to run to the store for a lower feeler gauge because the one I have goes to 0.05mm!! Wondering if that would be close enough?

Agility 50 / Valve Ajustment?
« on: October 31, 2012, 05:50:25 PM »
I'm about to adjust the valves on my Agility50. I need the "factory gap specs" for the valves intake/exhaust? Also any tips will be helpful! It will be my first time doing this allthough I'm very understanding of how and what I need to do. Thanks!
