People 250 / tail and brake light access for People 250

I recently got at 2006 People 250.  I have a top case with brake and running light LEDs.  Short of removing a lot of plastic, is there a way to access the needed wiring harness (maybe by removing the storage bin)?  I really appreciate any ideas.  Thanks.

New Kymco owner (2006 People 250) in search of larger windshield.  Givi made them for a time but have discontinued production.  Any help appreciated!
