Sorry I didn't get back to this sooner but thanks for the replies. I did wind up waiting for an OEM replacement (from an online parts place I will never order from again!). I'm not much of a mechanic, especially when it comes to scooters but the swap went fairly well and it seems to be running fine. The rollers were pretty beat so I've ordered a new set of those. Brakes are next on my list if I can find some instructions. The only good dealer/shop near me is 80 miles away and their turn around time is slow so I'd like to do as much service as possible myself. Unfortunately I can't find a shop manual anywhere and the owner's manual isn't much help. Even if I could find a list of what to check or replace and when that would be helpful. Sparks plug, oil, gear oil, valve clearance, etc. are no problem but I'm sure there are things that need attention that I'm overlooking. The front fork is starting to squeak a little?
I bought it new for her. She rides about 50 miles round trip to college every day and to her part time job evenings and weekends, in addition to whatever else running around she does. Nineteen year olds don't sleep much . If we can get another relatively hassle free year out of it, I figure I got my money's worth.
Thanks for the help guys, I do appreciate it.
