At 23,000 Km, it is still running fine. I just want to move on. In my opinion, the People 50 is a great scooter. The engineering is solid.

How long do you wait before you install it again?

2004
Kymco
People 50

I am purchasing a new and larger scooter. I am not really sure what I am going to do with the Kymco. I bought it brand new the month of July, 2004. It has always run well. I have kept it maintained. At this date, it has scooted for 23,000 Km. It is in good condition. I just want more and it can only give me what it has ( for a stock machine.) Before the end of the year it will probably need a new muffler. 2 strokes seem to clog them up. Tires will be needed by January. I figure the scoot will need brakes in two years. At first , I thought I would rebuild the motor. It is not going to happen. I just want a new and bigger ride. I do not need 2 scooters. Sell or ?

My 2004 Kymco People 50 (2 stroke) moves in about the same speeds as yours. When I purchased my "Stallion", my objective was to get to work safely. I weigh 178 Lbs. I understand that my ride is not a speed demon. If you want to use this size of scooter, you have to have patience and practice defensive driving. My 50 does what it does and I take care of the safety. In my opinion, a person buys a scooter to fit the kind of scooting they need or want.

People 50 / Re: wierd rumbling feeling
« on: March 24, 2011, 03:32:05 AM »
I do not understand what rumbling signifies. I have a 2004 People 50. I bought it brand new. It now has 22,000 Km. on it. Mine "rumbles" sometimes in the morning, as I start off to work. My rumble feels like the belt is slipping. I keep my scooter well maintained. I checked it out the first time it "rumbled."  There was nothing wrong with it. It runs fine. I don't worry about anymore. Have someone open it up and check.

2004 People 50
1. What tool do you use to replace 90w oil in gearbox?
2. Does it have measurements on it?
3. Where do you buy it?

This is the amount I will put into the gear box.
.18l=180ml=6.09 Fluid Ounces
