« on: March 19, 2016, 01:31:22 PM »
my s8 4t with polini variator 6.9g rollers after 3 years the rollers seems to be worn out
from 65km/h after the install of polini vario otherwise is stock , now i dropped a significant amount of top speed
what setup do you recommend guys?

changing rollers to heavier ones will make the acceleration from 0-20 even worse
change the carb first , carb will improve greatly the performance with all that modifications !!
but in the end of the day remember kymcos 50cc was never capable to race other 50cc in market ;)

but it has only 13.000 km and yeah it seems like the cylinder is wearing out i lost the compression if i kick start the starter stays down i have to manually get the kicker up..i thought rollers started to wear out , maybe they're wearing out too
and after 4 years i think its the time to sell it and i dont know how to feel about this :/
the speedometer cable went out for the second time , my regulator went out too after a year after replacement.
and now cylinder wearing out after just 13.000 km maybe super 8 is the most beautiful scooter out there but im kinda disappointed with kymco brand
also im having trouble with a cousin xciting 500 it consumes 5 liter for 50kilometer

Super 8 / upgrading carb super 8 4t 2007?
« on: June 26, 2015, 11:01:14 PM »
im using polini variator and rpm limit removed using cdi trick
after 2 years running this setup , everything else is stock .. my scooter especially this year is running way slower than before
i changed the air filter , did the valve clearance , changed gear oil and engine oil the only thing i didnt is the carb cleaning
whats the stock 4t carb size ? and whats the size i should upgrade with this modifications
polini vario has 6.9gr rollers (just to be clear)
what do u suggest guys
thanks in advance

yes cdi is fully free after you cut the pinky wires , i have also 4t so no boy you cant get more speed with 5.5gr rollers because of high rpm the lower the gram of rollers the higher the rpm ;)
im having polini variator and cdi trick and dont get more than 65km/h even on 6.9gr rollers
kymco is a known brand for restricting their scooters badly
im thinking to move to a bigger carb that makes a significant change at a fair price
there are some kinda projects to make s8 faster but it costs a lot i dont think you have the right scooter if you're a speed freak :p

Super 8 / Re: 2013 Super 8 losing power.
« on: June 13, 2015, 01:02:19 AM »
there are a lot of possibilites in your case , but check the carb first
im having same problem lately i lost 30% of power since last year im looking forward for a bigger carb since im already derestricted and running on polini variator btw mine is 4t ;) have a nice day

after you change the oil there is a always some left , take that oil with a sponge and apply only it using the sponge
but only after you've washed be motorcycle the results are very very nice and it lasts more than a month which is pretty fair time
for a cheap method and not that exclusive products that costs $$ a lot ...
on next 2 washes it'll be dust magnet but after a week it will just shine no magnet dust ;) enjoy

Xciting 500 / bad mileage
« on: May 04, 2015, 09:20:55 AM »
i use to drive my super 8 50cc 4t which ones mpg's are very very good
lately im driving a xciting 500 and i was waiting for fairly mpg's but not this much
on 4.6liter of petrol i got only 48kilometres or in mpg for 29 miles a gallon
so in 100 km ~10 liter  or 28 mpg
what may be wrong with this big boy , my serviceman checked the carb and says its ok he kinda adjusted that

im having 65km/h on polini variator and cdi no rev limit trick
btw you dont have any restriction on boss ride
you have to find the best ratio between fuel running on rich and lean
you have to upgrade the jet a few times the "perfect" one which will make you scooter work better with 90cc and upgrade exhaust

Super 8 / Re: brakes softer than before...
« on: February 01, 2015, 10:36:33 PM »
thank you guys , the rear needs to change for sure its been a long time its not working as it should by the time i got some mechanic skills , coz i opened it a few times when i repainted , some small defects or simple maintaining .
i got adjusted my rear 2 or 3 times so i guess i need to remove the exhaust , rear wheel and some other stuff
to see in detail what happened there :p
if everything goes right due to accidental defects and the money in my s8 wont be that much i would take it
another summer with it while getting another scooter is way harder because of taxes and import costs of another scooter
but even after 3 years i love it as in first day even its a cheap chinnese scooter or its not as reliable as italian scooters or japanese
and the biggest problem how can i get a scooter as beautiful as s8?
sorry i got it in a long story way but thats what forum it is :p
