Haven't had the time or money to fix my stolen battery/turn signal problem yet :(

I've seen a few black Likes and the two-tone blue here in San Francisco! I avoid the largest hills but otherwise I have to problems. Potholes are a bigger issue!

I changed the color with Plasti Dip. About a month after I bought the scoot it was knocked over in a strong windy. Luckily it was right next to the declining driveway of my neighbor so nothing broke but it did scratch the right-side panel so I decided to see about painting it. Since Plasti Dip is removable I can change the color pretty easily. One day I'm going to take off all the panels and do something more interesting though.

OEM it is. Unfortunately/thankfully? the damages are below the insurance deductible.

My theory is that this person dropped their scoot and so it sat around long enough for the battery to die. "Hmm where to get a new battery? Oh I'll just steal it! Hey I need a turn signal since I smashed mine dropping the scoot. I'll steal that too!"

I'm worried that they will come back for more "spare parts". :/

Hello,
My battery and right turn signal were stolen off my scooter right in from of my house. I guess that is the danger of living in a city.

Should I buy an OEM signal and get the local dealer to fix it or maybe do it myself? Would an aftermarket one be cheaper? Thoughts?

Thanks!

Being as I just "painted" my scooter with green I kind of wanted to find some green grips. I found these http://www.jcwhitney.com/pro-grip-universal-art-725-evo-grips/p2017103.jcwx?skuId=426442&filterid=d62565u0. They are very generic and I worry they won't really work properly. Thoughts?

Thanks!

A 2nd angle. The side panel was a bit "textured". I think it was due to the distance we sprayed it from. We also used less gloss. I guess we know for next time!

What do you guys think of the shape on the side? How would you choose to tape it off?

The Camo Green can be purchased @ https://www.dipyourcar.com/product.php?productid=6&cat=7&page=1
A can is $8.28 but shipping was a like $13 for me so thats a bit expensive. I haven't seen it in a store either.

Thanks!

To answer your questions:
1. I got this can at Ace Hardware and am ordering some from www.dipyourcar.com because they have the best selection and tutorial videos. For local stores check: www.plastidip.com/home_sales_representatives.php

2. $6-10 for a rattle can. I did the front twice and the stripes twice with a single can and there is still a bit left. It takes 4-5 coats to get good coverage.

3. In cans (only thing currently allowed in CA) you can get White, Black, Red, Green, Blue, Orange, Yellow, Pink, Purple, Grey, Camo Brown, Camo Tan, Camo Green, Silver Flake, Gold Flake, Copper, Smoke(tint), Pearl. There are more in spray-able gallons in you live in other states and own a paint sprayer. https://www.dipyourcar.com/pages.php?pageid=9

It is supposed to last up to 3 years and if you scratch up an edge you can peel it off in one piece. So of course make sure you do the edges well.

I plan on doing a white base layer with "Blaze Green" on top. I'll probably follow this design.
