Thanks Betting for the information.  Its the 4 stroke an yes the maintenance would be more but isn't a big deal. Just didnt want a major problem. Been doing car motorcycle maintenance for years.
Thanks again

LIKE 200i / kymco Like vs Genuine Stella
« on: January 08, 2015, 09:00:33 AM »
I have a kymco S8 150 and I have enjoyed the great reliability. 10000 miles an no major issues just routine maintenance.
I have been wanting to add a Kymco Like because of the success I have had with the super 8.  Monday I stopped in the Genuine dealer an Stella has stolen my heart. I always loved Stella because of her retro styling.
Shes $400 out the door more than the like. But I keep going back to the fact that my super 8 has been virtually no problems an I cant help but wonder if Genuine will be the same?
I will keep my Super 8 as my daily ride an get the new scooter out for special occasions.
So has anyone had any experience or know of anyone with a Stella that had issues?

Thats the Stella manual not the automatic.

OMG Stig im glad you said that about the valves on the PCX. I had been thinking about getting one. I watched the utube video on the valves on the PCX. It looks like you almost have to take the scooter completely apart to get to the valves. It would take me a week to put it all back together an probably loose some bolts in the process.

I was wondering which of those mugs was Vivo also. I have to assume thats Vivo and his 2 brothers. He posted a picture awhile back of the 3 when they were real young on a honda motorcycle. My guess is Vivo is the oldest. Which would be the one on the right. The youngest is on left. Same order as they were in on motorcycle.
But just a guess.

After this winter Texas has been to far north for me. Dam its been cold! It seems like this has been the coldest winter we have had in awhile.

Just a guess but if battery is good an when you push start button an nothing happens then you turn ignition off then back on an it starts then the ignition switch would be a good place to start.

I don't know about that changing the oil thing Stig. I change mine every 500 miles. Oil cheap only 2 bucks an it only takes a quart. Besides it only takes 10 minutes to do and it gives me a chance to check the bolts screws ect holding the body together while it drains. Clean oil want hurt the motor but old oil will.
