« on: September 20, 2013, 12:23:55 AM »
you will enjoy recuperating after all is said and done.  you can spend loads of time on this forum. time reading scooter mags and then restful time planning scooter trips for when you have healed.  will pray for a quick recovery...

Technical | How To / Re: battery not charging?
« on: August 12, 2013, 01:08:50 PM »
check voltage accross battery terminals with switch off and with engine running. should show slight increase when running
if charging.  may be a hig resistance short to ground somewhere.  try disconnecting items one at a time over several days
to see if discharging stops.   I use a battery tender on mine any time not riding for several days.

yes, I sure do.  feel like an outsider when I go scooting.. four wheelers want to run you off the road or worse, motorcyclers guickly look the other way.  I`m suprised the kids do not throw rocks!!!
I cannot even get a response to my carb question on this forum...
this is about my only contact with other scooter riders and I look foward to new posts.
entertaining as well as informative..  Keep it up

I think I can qualify...52 yrs. old and just got my first scooter. It just makes me feel younger to ride a scooter, though. You're only as old as you feel, and I feel like a giddy 25 yr. old on the scooter. :)

good to see new riders on the forum.  The info. and the experience you can tap into here is fantastic.
these guys and gals have helped me with several problems incurred with my B&W 250.
the wisdom I have gleaned from these posts has helped so much not to mention the entertaining
personalities and commentary.  ride safe, enjoy

hello de dee, where are you that you would ride through customs so often?  good to hear that you are still scooting at such a young and tender age.  age in years is irrevelant when one is active and young at heart
keep on keeping on young lady...  you make ole partyhut proud to be in the scooter gang.

I'm here in Selmer, TN, part of the Geezer Gang! De-Dee is around here somewhere. MotoRandy is around here regularly and I think he's one of the Geezers. There are probably more Geezers on this forum than kids (folks under 40). Where in TN are you?

Karl

I am down in the south east corner.  Soddy Daisy is more or less a suburb of Chattanooga. I have gotten a lot of good service info from MotoRandy in the past.  glad he is still on board.  god to hear from you.   ride safe

where are all the ole geezer rider like me that I used to see posting on here.  only a handfull of names I used to see are still
on board ( hello vivo, blue and streido)  I`m still riding the b&w 250, 2004 model.  Still having some cold start issues.
removed carb, stripped and soaked in carb cleaner for three hours.  Doing much better, but now I need advice as to how to
adj. the b&w 250 carb.  has idle speed, pilot jet and a large needle valve on very bottom of carb bowl with clear plastic shield
around it.  any info as to how to adj. these will be accepted gratefully.  hope you all are enjoying the great out doors
from the seat of your scooter as much as possible.   ron f.   ole geezer    partyhut
