well I'm back in here after a couple years...my bw 150 now has 15K Miles on her and has been the best small scooter I have ever owned. I'm on my second belt and she gets around 55mpg down from original 60+! My OL wants me to get rid of some of my scooters, the BW150, but I just cant part with her, the scooter that is! I also have a Burg 650 that I love and a few other 50cc rigs. I originally used synthetic oil but changed over to a regular 10/40 API spec oil and the scoot is running fine. I have had some issues with cooling in traffic at slow speeds during summer and parades but nothing serious. I have always wondered how the BW 250's have been holding up and been thinking about getting one! My OL will love that..heh! Best to everybody   Oldhummer

Well here it is May already and I have 1000 miles/1620KM, on the speedo! The B&W 150 has had an expensive oil change and is now on synthetic oil. I have had a couple of times where it has tried to overheat when the days temp reached near 80F..! It has only done it twice, while riding down side streets with a stop sign at practically every block and during a parade I was in, slow speed. I have also noticed a slight grab in the CVT at about 10mph as the scooter starts to speed up? May have a few flat spots on the CVT rollers? Other than that I have had a lot of fun riding it! I did a 300 mile trip a few weeks ago and I realize it is not for cruising, but it wasnt too bad as I stopped about every 20 miles at every little town along the way to check them out. So far not a bad rig! I am looking forward to trying the new 08 Xciting 500i and see how my 6'2" carcus fits on that rig.....!  Jay  Oldhummer

Top of my list now... is the Burgman 400. I think the 650 might be too much for my around town/ crusing needs, I dont need to be able to do 90-100+mph on a scooter anyway!! The 400 took me up to 80+ with no problem. The main problem for me is to get most of the scooters in a line up, and drive them all before I forget which one felt the best for me, Heh! . Problem is, one dealer dosent handle all the makes and models, it makes it hard to get them all together for a test. Its difficult to get a feel for a scooter if you cannot drive it 10-30 miles and see how the seats feel and what your fatigue factor is. Going around the block a few times dosen't do it! I am thinking maybe the 500cc scooters may be a compromise, with comfort and gas mileage ? Anyway, hope the Exciting 500i gets to one of our dealers here in Denver so I can try it out! Meanwhile, I will be out there on my B&W150 dodging the Blue hairs and Soccor moms while they are text messaging as they go down the highway!   Oldhummer
 

When will the Xciting 500i (injected) scooter be available in the US? I understand its in Canada, NZ. & the Aussies have them, but not here yet?? I wonder if the ground clearance has been increased on the 500i model? I drove an 06 500 and it was pretty nice. I am going to get a crusing scooter, but will have to try them all out first and waiting for the injected 500i model to get here!!   Jay  oldhummer

TurnBuckle I agree with that owners good review. I  have a B&W 150 , still in the breakin period, but I like its looks and its performance ...so far! I can't wait til better weather here in CO. so I can get some real miles on it! Any one else here in Colo. with a B&W 150???  OldHummer
