4 K miles, second owner, all stocks.
Dee Dee, you got a good point there. When I started getting into scooter 2 years ago I first got a Kymco Super8 150cc, now 250cc and not fast enough.
The Grand Vista is perfect for around town and occasional freeway. I am 5'7" 150# and the Grand Vista fit me well. Its top speed made me feel  little unsafe on Freeway.
By the way, last week I test rode the new 2013 BMW 650cc GT, it is nice but cost is $13,000 OTD and wait at least a year for a lower seat version.
Thanks

One more question Sensei:
My top speed now is 88 MPH ( ODO and flat surface), it takes a long time to get to that and I have nothing left...what is your top speed with 18 g Dr Pulley sliders ?
It a big deal here on Carpool lane in Southern California, everybody drive at least 75 MPH
Thanks

Thank you so much Windwheeler.
I was advised by you and others not to invest $ into 300cc bore kit unless I know what I am doing.
This route is probably the best.

1. Dr Pulley 18 g you mentioned, are they sliders or rollers ?
2. Better acceleration ( with higher RPM ) means you have twist the throttle more to have higher RPM to accelerate ? In another word, with Dr Pulley 18g , it takes longer to go from 0 to 60 for instance ?
Thanks

Thanks Windwheeler for the info...
By changing variator weights to increase top speed, do I sacrifice something such as take off power ?
If not, which variator weights I need ?

Thank you, MotoRandy123
I will look into the GV diagram and try that modification.
I understand you point but after the first cycle Hi to Lo, it does not matter anymore.
Thanks again

So there's no way to midify to make Headlight switch to lo-beam and then back to hi-beam, back and forth with passing switch when you are on hi-beam.

Vivo made 2 good points:
1. Also by staying on the right or left of your lane you can see further up, your view is not blocked by car right in front, means more time to react. One disadvantage though, less time to react when cage cut you off.
2. High beam or low beam: I choose high beam on my motorcycle and low beam on my Grand Vista because it has passing switch that works only if I am on low beam.

By the way, I ride M/C all my life, bought super8 150 and now GV. Love it. My M/C rider friends just do not get it.
Also funny thing is my total insurance rate for both Motorcycle and first Scooter was lower than just M/C

Thanks for the info.
Now I have second thought, a loud horn may piss off some folks. I first thought it is funny, loud horn on a tiny scooter, but cagerider might not look at it that way.

Hello,
Did someone install louder air horn on Grand Vista ?
Is there enough room for this one from Ebays for $20...

Roadcraft / Wind shield for hands on Scooter W/O handle bar
« on: December 31, 2012, 01:15:34 AM »
Did some one try to modify and install those Hand Guards ( the type made for dirt bikes ) on Scooter without handle bar i.e. Grand Vista.
Grip heaters work only to some extents because they warm up only the palms of your hands, the tip of your fingers are what's needed.
Thanks

Grandvista 250 / Re: Type of headlight bulb on Grand Vista 250

Thanks again,MotoRandy, for shedding more lights into brake lights law in California.
To not breaking the law, I might have to spend $70 for a "Trail Blazer" set up, first it will blink fast, decelerate and stay steady.
Hope somebody else chime in for tires question ( they must be P rated. Even it took a long time, but the GV will go up to 92 MPH  - 5 MPH on ODO  during one stretch of 405 Freeway the other day)
