Downtown 300 / Re: How many Miles (KM) do you have on your scoot?

I have an old Dink 150 now. Which I think has enough power for a scooter but the ergos suck. I think the power from the 200 will be enough. I don't go for long rides around the island. At most I would ride it to Taichung and there are no expressways from here to there. I would rarely see any speeds higher than 80 kph.

What I like about the Nikita are the ergos and the fact that it can hold my full sized helmet under the seat. Plus it looks cool and is a better fit for me than my little Dink.

The used scooter does appear to be completely stock and in excellent condition. That being said I would still prefer a new one. I also want to see the 250 EVO from SYM and the Xciting 250 and Aeon's 250 before I make up my mind on what to buy. It seems like an issue to find the right dealer to go to since most here never have large scooters in stock. By pure luck of riding by this dealer I saw the used Nikita in the street and he had 3 more in his showroom. All were white.

I live in a little town called Dajia close to my work.

Downtown 300 / How many Miles (KM) do you have on your scoot?

Hi I'm new on the forum and looking to buy a Nikita (Downtown) 200. I'm living in Taiwan now and Kimco calls them Nikita's here. I found a used 2011 Nikita for about 1,600 US dollars less than new one. It looks like new and has 20,000 km (12,500 miles)on it.

Should I save the 1,600 bucks and buy used or go for a new one?

How many miles does your scoot have and have they been trouble free? What should I look for if I do decide to look at the used scooter more closely. I doubt they would do a cylinder leak down test.

BTW The 300 I can not buy due to licensing issues. The government here will not license a 250cc or larger motorcycle unless you have had a Taiwan license for over 1 year.
