Agility 50 / Re: Where would you recommend to get Agility 50?

Why not consider an engine size that is actually suitable for your performance expectations such as the Lance PCH 150?  Related discussion.

The issue is that I do not have a motorcycle license and it takes about two-three months to get one. I did read that thread regarding PCH 125 v Agility 125, but I an just curious to know if LANCE PCH 50 is just as a good quality as Agility 50.

Thanks!

Hello,

How about this question: Would you recommend getting a LANCE PCH 50 over Agility 50?

Thanks!

Agility 50 / Where would you recommend to get Agility 50?
« on: April 20, 2014, 09:38:21 PM »
Hello,

I had my 2013 Agility 50 for about 1.5 year. It has been serving me really well and I put in about 11,000 KM in it. Last night it was stolen in front of the house of a friend where I visited, in Washington DC area. The bike was not locked to a fence or pole. That might have been my fatal mistake. I really miss it and would like to get a new one.

However, the closest dealership where I bought from is not an honest dealer. They charged me $200 to de-restrict the scooter but did not do it properly. I ended up cutting CDI box correctly to fix. Also, they charged me an hour labor for fixing the loose connection to starter moto.

Anyway, I really like the bike but just don't feel like going back to sponsor dishonest folks. Would you guys have any recommendation where I should get the scooter? Is there an online place one might be able to get it?

Thanks!

Hello,

I just lost my agility 50 due to theft. It is very unfortunate. I am thinking of getting Agility 125, too. Is there a particular year that you recommend? Or are they pretty much the same? Is Agility 125 very similar to Agility 50 except that it is a larger engine?

Thanks!

Why would you want to remove fenders? For bigger wheels?

Agility 50 / What type of battery should I get for 2013 Agility 50?
« on: April 05, 2014, 03:14:20 AM »
Hello,

My scooter's battery is getting weaker and weaker. I would like to buy a replacement before it died, but I have a bad luck with YUASA YTX5L-BS as I had two of them already. And my scooter is 2013. Could you guys recommend a better battery to buy? There are so many of them when I search on Amazon.com or ebay. Do I just need to look for one that is YTX5L-BS type? Is there anything else that I should consider?

The owner's manual says that the battery spec is 12v-6Ah.

Thanks so much for your help.

Thanks! I think that the battery is indeed the issue. My motorcycle friend came and looked at it. He concluded the same reason, too. But it is odd. The battery is less than a year old.

My air filter is getting dirty after 8500km driving. It might be about time to get it replaced. Do you know any reputable place that sells agility 50's air filter? Thanks! I am in USA.

Do you remember the color of the wire when your dealer was cutting it? I saw a blue wire exposed when I cut mine like in the youtube video. Mine is 2013.

Thanks for the pointer. I will have to learn how to get to the starter relay and examine it first. For whatever reason after I took the CDI out and put it back in, I have not experienced the electrical start problem. Very odd again..

A quick question: the way to saw CDI box in the video. Does it apply to all the models of Agility 50? Mine is 2013 model. I have mine de-restricted at the dealer ship. They did not modify the CDI box as shown in the video. All they did is to use a sander to smoothen the edge of the short side of the CDI box. I am still not sure if they did it correctly, as my top speed on the flat road is only 35 mile per hour.

I looked at my owner manual. It said that you'll need to clean it with compressed air. I don't think you could wash it with water.

I don't think it is battery issue, either.  I agree with you. If battery is low, I would have heard engine cranking, but all I hear is the click sound when I depress the starter button.

How do you explain that once it is started and there is no issue of electrical start for the rest of the day? Since I can't show the dealer that there is a problem when I ride the scooter there, they think that there is no problem. How ironic!

Thanks! How do I get to the starter relay? Is it through the seat compartment?

Also, I spoke to the dealer and he thinks that the issue is related to the cold weather. Once I started to ride it, the problem seems going away. It is always difficult to start it the first time to ride in the morning. He suggested that I use a 7-amp battery. Does this sound reasonable?
