People GT 300i / Re: Any previous Scarabeo 200 owners here?
« on: August 11, 2016, 10:21:06 PM »
Thanks for the reply, Boo :) I have the fuel injected Scarabeo. It is a good bike yes, but it has some issues. I had an accident with my Scarabeo this February and also learned that its production was stopped back in 2014. I didn't know this when i bought it in Nov 2014. I was planning to use this bike for a very long time, but to be honest i'm looking for something better instead now. I live in Turkey and unfortunately People GT isn't sold here. I made a thread about this bike in a local forum; trying to pull some attention towards it. With enough exposure it might get imported. At least that's what i hope for :]

Can you give me a little bit more detail about engine vibration? Which bike was smoother you think? How about overall quality, plastics and stuff? Which bike is more durable? I live in a small town during summer and some roads aren't paved here. ANY info you give will help me greatly ;)

What do you think about THIS? Does it look accurate?

THIS was my Scarabeo by the way :] I just wish it had been designed and built in a more thoughtful/user friendly manner in the first place. That bike could have been the ultimate scooter. It really saddens me.

I'd like to hear your opinion of these two bikes. How do they compare? Which one is smoother, safer, more comfortable to ride etc. I currently own a Scarabeo 200 myself and i'd like to know what i should expect if i make a switch to People GT.

Thank you :)

People GT 300i / Floorboard measurements?
« on: August 07, 2016, 08:11:44 PM »
Hi all. I've searched for this but couldn't find anything. What is the floorboard width and length of this bike? A photo like this would help me a lot:

(this is for Aprilia Scarabeo 200)

A photo from top with your feet on the floorboard would be great too. Or at least tell me this: how is the fitment for someone with shoe size of 12 US/45 Euro ?

Cheers :)

LIKE 200i / Re: Best scoot for Big riders??
« on: October 30, 2014, 03:32:30 PM »
I love small scooters and i like Like 200i a lot (mainly due to the rear disc brake) but as a 187cm tall guy, i just can't fit it (i'm not a Like owner, just had tried one before). I'm a long time Agility user and even Agility is hard to fit and Like is much worse. Seat is lower than Agility, so road imperfections transfer to your back even more. Your legs can't help carrying your weight when you are riding the Kymco Like. Like 200i is very hard on your back. When i get uncomfortable on my Agility, i move back and ride while sitting on the passenger part of the seat. Like is awkward even in this position. Seat is just way, way too low. Would have been the perfect scooter if the handlebar and seat were a little bit higher.

For tall people like me, Aprilia Scarabeo 200 is a very good fit. I'm planning to buy one in addition to my Agility. My only concern is its weight; too heavy to have a 'playful' riding style but, let's see.. :)

I won't bump this topic again with any possible future videos. I wish happy ridings to you all :)

Lol cheers everyone :D I do offroading every summer season regularly. Not on these roads all the time but on fire roads instead. I post these to show what Agility is capable of. So many people underestimate this little scooter. However when you think about it; it's 110 kilos wet, with very low center of gravity. Also 12" wheels may look as a disadvantage at first (they are, lol), but they spin fast. l love using my Agility for offroading purposes. This type of riding enhances your skills, especially for on-pavement times. By riding like this, you learn your scooter's limits better. I'd suggest you to do the same, but don't push it; especially if you ride heavier models.

By the way i'm 76kgs with gear. My scooter has no engine mods. Rear shock is a DNM MST-AR1 and the tires are Michelin City Grip. City Grip performs really well both on pavement and on gravel. I'd definitely recommend it (I'll try Metzeller Feelfree next just for the sake of trying new tires though :P)

@wkreps

1) Sometimes my rear tire skids and drops into smaller ruts, which then sometimes forces me to stop and lift the rear off by hand but that's all. Didn't experience anything serious so far :)
2) I have some better places for that hehehe :D
3) I do that because hard impacts during idling shuts the engine off anyway so i just turn it off myself beforehand. What people hehe  ::)

I'd like to buy a true enduro machine but considering the roads we have in here, it would be a waste imo. A WR450F or EXC350 or something similar would be nice but they are just overkill for these roads and they are very expensive in here (15k$+). Why spend so much money for so little use. Agility is doing just fine at the moment :D (would love to have a Yamaha WR450R, if Yamaha makes one some day though :))

I'll upload a few more videos later. Take care for now :)

Agility 125 / Re: I Turned Over, Nuts!
« on: May 26, 2014, 08:47:59 AM »
My scooter had fallen due to rain cover catching wind and pulling the scooter with it , when i had first gotten it several years ago :o. The handlebar lock was on and it had caused the same steering problem that we see on that photo. The service guys had told me that they encountered this kind of problem regularly and they always fixed it simply by twisting the fork clamp with a tool. They had done the same thing on mine and after 18000km in very hard conditions (regular offroading and such), it still works flawless to this date. Of course, if you don't want to have any doubts in your head, simply change the whole steering tube part.

If anyone is wondering how a cheap chinese bi-xenon kit performs in somewhat offroad conditions:

(pitch black offroading after 3:00)

Agility 125 / Re: Oil Questions
« on: May 18, 2014, 07:08:46 PM »
I have used every Motul, Shell and Castrol products on my Agility. I'd say Motul is the best but doesn't worth the extra cost. Shell and Castrol are somewhat same. Use fully synthetic oil of whatever brand you like. They are all same imo. You change oil every 2000km anyway. That's why expensive stuff doesn't worth it. I currently use Castrol 10-50w fully synthetic.

Another great video. I learned a few things. The reason I guessed a Sony AS15 was at one point on one of your videos the sky was VERY blue. Sony's will do that a lot. My brother has a Hero3 like yours and loves it!
I was wondering, how many miles do you have on your Agility?

It's at 17700 km (11000 miles) :)

General Discussion / Re: links to service manuals...
« on: April 20, 2014, 08:13:55 AM »
There are service manuals in here as well: http://www.enmoto.com/enmotoonline/downloads/Specifications/Kymco/Reparaturanleitung%20Kymco/

Download them one by one then go here: http://foxyutils.com/mergepdf/

Upload the pdfs there, sort them then hit merge. It will give you a compiled single pdf :)
