Just FYI , trying to save you some money ( Where I Lost Some ) , incase you were thinking about similar upgrades".
I ran my Super 8 , to 120 km (75mph) , Yesterday on a Flat Straight Away , with said upgrades.
P.S. 1) Has anybody used the same CDI as I have ,and if so , did you experience any Problems? Or can you recommend one ? I would like a Plug and Play version preferably ''.
2) What Performance head will work on the Super 8 150 , and do you need to change the timing chain to a different length , I am looking for a bolt on , and rather not have to split the engine''.
CORRECTION: After a lot of trial and error , you can get the Naraku head to work , you have to get a 45 link timing chain , and the A14 cam will work with this set up , and the Naraku cdi is needed for this setup as the original one will no longer function properly... Having said that you also have to modify the flange on the Yosh. exhaust as the flange will be needed to be rotated , where the head is shorter...Boy amazing difference with my setup now , she is soo punchy now , I'm a happy Camper
