hey! thanks for advice!
yesterday scoot went really hard, so decided to put the 5.5g rollers back, opened the transmission cover and first thing noticed is that the belt is 729, when it should be 737. Idiots in the service. Don't understand how people like these can have a scoot workshop.
Changed back to my old 737 belt and it rid well.
So recall mates, everything is in order now.

P.S. Boss and jet changed, and cdi cut.

Hello to all Kymco owners!

I am new to this forum and happy to see you all here.
I am looking for help and hope you will be able to help me.

The story is the following.
My torque driver got broken, the cone moving part detached from the cylinder.
Didn't know how to remove the clutch so took it to the service.
The guys took 150 pounds for new torque and labour (plus some sundries).
When I got scooter back it felt completely different in acceleration.

Basically before the torque broke it was quite easy to take off, half throttle and it was pulling quite brisk, never had a problem on the traffic lights moving quick and not obstructing the cars behind.
But now different story, the scooter even with the full throttle starts very slow and doesn't really picks up during the whole ride. You probably know the feeling when you have full throttle on you pull it to the max and it is accelerating. I understand it is only a 50cc, but it was riding quite well before.
Basically it feels like the spin from the engine doesn't transfer to the wheel.
So I took it back to the service explained the situation. They said it might take a while for the parts to rub along.
They had a look and changed the rollers to 4.0g instead of 5.5g that I had (I found 5.0-5.5 optimal for me).
Now the engine is obviously revving more and accelerates slightly better, but in reality it doesn't solve the problem, because it still feels the same.
Especially on the take off, a lot of rev, but moving like a snail.
In addition on speed around 40mph it feels like the engine is revving to high and vibration comes from it (a bit scary to be honest :) ).

I am not specialist, but since it was only torque and belt changed, I think it might be the torque spring, that either squeezes the belt to weak or to strong.

I would really appreciate for advise on the situation.

Also is there a way to replace the spring by myself?

Thanks a lot!
