General Discussion / Kymco road show - Maple Grove Raceway
« on: October 04, 2012, 05:52:29 PM »
I saw a Kymco tractor trailer heading into Maple Grove Speedway (Reading, PA) yesterday for the Auto-plus Nationals. The Kymco Facebook page lists the cars they sponser and message to see the new Kymco scooters, ATV's and side x sides.

I'm at 11,000 miles on the originals and they still look good.

General Discussion / Re: Mirrors
« on: April 11, 2012, 07:51:54 PM »
yours are like mine. It's just a socket the stem sits in and mine got a crack in it so now it's loose. I tried some glue or tape for more resistance but realized I'd need to get a new one. Maybe an after market like the one mentioned the next time I need to replace the mirror.

Did you put it on the center stand to kick start? My s150 will only kick start that way.

Nothing, but I must admit, I haven't looked since my post.

From the link above to Stadium Yamaha, if you don't find it online, call them. They can get you any part for your Kymco. They did for me.

From what you described I would have swore it was gear oil and you over-filled, but your edit says..."it's NOT gear oil".

Super 8 150 / Re: It's been a loooong time....

In the NE we really need a battery tender. I attached a set up clip to my battery posts and fed the plug through the floor so I can plug in to the tender especially over winter. The battery won't last long if you don't drive it.

Super 8 150 / Givi Airflow Windshield
« on: March 29, 2011, 07:59:48 PM »
Has anyone found a windshield for their Super 8? I think the Givi Airflow would be a great look for the Super 8 but I emailed and they don't make one for the Super 8. It attaches to the existing shield and is adjustable to allow more or less air depending on the season. They said they would forward my request to R&D. Maybe if they had enough request there would be interest for the to make it. Send them an email if interested on their contact page for the Giviusa website.

Love those PA potholes! We got our share here in Berks County. You know you hit a good one when you check the mirrors and no longer see whats behind you. More like whats on the ground because thats where they face. Ouch!

Agility 125 / Re: New agility 125 just done 1st service wont re start?

check your kill switch to make sure it's not somewhere in between on/off. Maybe it's bad? When it won't start flip it off/on.

General Discussion / Re: Warranty Experiences
« on: January 14, 2011, 04:07:10 PM »
I had a problem with the fuel sending unit when my fuel gauge wasn't working and was told that according to section xxx.xx of your warranty your electrical components are not covered by the 2 year warranty. They have a one and half year warranty and I took it in at 10 months. Not covered.

the fuel sending unit was my problem. I took it in before the two year warranty was up only to find out the electronics are only covered for 1 1/2 years?  ::)  Not covered by warranty!
