Drove the Scooter to work, it rained
started fine however by the time I got my gear on it had stalled
long story short ended up flooding and drained the battery
trying to start it

do I have to remove the seat and front panel to get to the battery
to charge it?

any help would be appreciated

Thanks

I used a hammer and blade screw driver and just hit it till it went to the looser setting, took me about a minute to do

Ditto mine was rough, adjusted the shocks to the middle setting... not quite the softest.. a lot better

Super 8 150 / curious about whether warranty will cover this or not
« on: August 18, 2013, 04:46:43 PM »
went for a ride today and noticed the wind break which is plastic and some how bolted to the front is broken on the left
side.. clearly it has just given way.. the bike was left alone in a parking lot but no one messed with it
do you think my dealer will replace this or will I have to pay to fix it myself?
pretty sure it was from the wind today as I rode..

the way I look at it.. if you are getting around 55 to 58 that is pretty damned good
you bought a 150 right?
not a 250 be realistic
the fastest I have had my 150 going was  62.. street speed sign verified
and that was on a hot day with a slight breeze on my back
and truthfully you get going that fast.. it gets a little scary
you can jet out your carb, or modify it a little
but if you want to go faster.. buy a bigger bike
but 55 to 58 is pretty damned good

nope pretty much the same
like crap
I have been researching and it says the air mixture is hard for the carb in the colder air
I would think the opposite, but not from my ride tonight
warm weather it is fine, goes fast

Super 8 150 / Super 8 runs terrible in colder weather
« on: July 28, 2013, 06:00:39 AM »
it is summer here in South Dakota and with the warm weather my super 8 runs great
the last few days it has gotten cooler.. daytime 68 and evening of 50 or so
took my scooter out tonight and could barely get the speed above 50 to 52
also the bike was very gutless, and even sputtered at higher speeds
you would think with it being air cooled it would run better, but it is quite the opposite
I noticed this when I purchased it in early June
anyone else have this issue or is it just me?

Kevin

bike was fine today.. no issues.. also bike went right from crate to me
so it did not sit long.. and it was special ordered for me as well
I am scared to drive it in the rain now

took my super 8 to the car wash
was very gentle with it.. on the trip home my headlights went out 2 times
both times if I went down to idle they would come back on
but once I started driving it again
they would go out
the remedy was turning off the bike and starting it again
wondering if this is a shorting issue?
after 2nd restart bike lights stayed on
is this a common issue with rain or wetness?
