People 150 / Clock Battery
« on: April 22, 2010, 03:33:38 PM »
Anybody know the battery type used for the clock? I'd like to get one before I open headset to get to the clock. This is a really poorly designed feature. I have a windscreen and have to remove that to open headset to get to it. A royal PITA!

Here's a possible outcome of choosing bigger tires, let me know if it's prudent or otherwise.

Avon makes the AM63 Viper Stryke tires for scooters.

OEM front tire = 80/80-16
Viper Stryke front tire, either 100/80-16 or 110/70-16

OEM rear tire = 100/80-16
Viper Stryke rear tire 120/80-16

Are these increases too much?
So, did those tires fit?

Very nice! What did you replace it with? Stock?
Stock pipe.

Thanks. All I had to do was remove the small panel down by your feet. Gave me a view so I can see the two exhaust bolts. Entire job took 10 minutes.

Has anyone installed an exhaust pipe on their People? Is access to the bolts attaching to the engine easy to get to or, do I have to remove any body panels?

In my opinion, the kick start is more for show than for function. I've gotten it to work once in a while. But, when its been very cold and the battery doesn't seem to have enough juice to turn over the electric start, a few kicks (that don't work) and the electric starter works. Go figure.

If anyone successfully mounted wider tires on their People 150, I'd like to hear about it.

I had the Puig. Didn't care for it. Flimsy mounting and caused more wind noise than I cared for. Sold it and purchased the large windscreen for the People 150 from Scooterworks. The mounting system is rock solid and it also protects the hands from wind. I rode through the NYC winter thanks to this windscreen and a Scooter Skirt.
It doesn't look as bulbous as the picture shows. In my opinion it compliments the bike.

I doubt very much that you'll be able to fit any other size tire than the OEM size. Anything else might rub or, wouldn't even fit the rim. I've looked everywhere for an option to the OEM tires. SAVA is the only one I found. Not sure how good it was on wet surfaces, I stuck with the Cheng Shin OEM's.

People 150 / Electric start question
« on: September 24, 2009, 05:18:57 PM »
When I pull my right (front brake) handbrake in to start the scooter with the electric start, it won't start. It works with the left (rear brake) pulled in. What can cause this issue? I am waiting on a new brake light switch as the one in there now is faulty. Is this related?

Does anyone know what size and weight rollers come stock on the p150?  I would like some heavier ones to get a little more top end.
Anyone put there know the size & weight of the stock rollers on the People 150? I want to replace mine with Dr. Pulley Sliding Roller Weights.
