Bike too heavy and out budget for me and anyways I'm not the touring type.  Would love to see the Xciting 400 though that is already out in other countries.   I think the DT300 is the perfect bike for commuters. Light and powerful 29HP and 295 cc.  I'm sold but the only thing is I wish it had ABS like they do in other countries.

Kymco News / Re: KYMCO to add 500 more USA dealers
« on: August 12, 2013, 07:23:51 PM »
I hope some of those dealers are here in Miami. I have a dealer in Miami Beach 25 miles from my house but don't carry DT300. Owner said they don't sell well. The other dealer is is about 30 miles south and that one when I called didn't even know there was a DT300. The only good dealer is about 35 miles Varsity Cycles and they know their stuff and have been around for a while.

Kymco News / Re: Downtown 300i with ABS?
« on: August 11, 2013, 09:20:04 PM »
Deedee,  I'm a newbie when it comes to scooter but from what I have read ABS prevents wheel lockup. I don't know about the disadvantages though but it is important to me as I experienced wheel lockup on my Chinese scooter that threw me to the ground. Perhaps with ABS this would not had happened.  But the question here is " why doesn't Kymco offer the DT 300 with ABS here in the States when is available all over the world".

Bountybuddy, I,m also sold on the DT300 for 2014 but also lack of ABS is also a concern.Honda is introducing the Forza 300 with the ABS option for $500 more. I don't see why Kymco doesn't do the same. I have noticed that it comes with ABS also in Latin America as I checked out a Colombian DT club and most of their bikes have ABS.

Joe, good luck with your sale and so sorry you need to part ways with your DT 300. If I had the finances we probably be talking... Love the top case and your personalized decal..
