After looking around at the scooter, I have come to the conclusion that the exhaust is the biggest restriction.

Have You tried without the exhaust? With a ear plugs of course ;-)

After my own seat rebuild I have an idea how it should be done -as the original plastic frame is awful startpoint when its lines feel on my butt
through a surprisingly thick foam.
A: Make the original foam low and flat, then add something firm on it, and then make the new stuff over that.
Or B: saw the seat foam horizontal, add the firm material there and assemble. Firm stuff could be plastic, plywood etc. to kill the influence of the bad frame.

Let's keep hoping someone can tell us if this type of after market shock will fit up inot the mount on a LIKE!
I've posted this question to the fellows in the LIKE Clubs in the Philippines - but right now they are a very busy dealing with flooding in their country.. They have added many aftermarket parts to their scoots!

Yes, heard them used of daytona showa-shocks, but cannot find any info of them and possible dealers.

Oskuk, You have a LIKE 50cc and a LIKE 200i?

No, I had a nice pale-blue Like 50 for a week, but got tired to drive on a side of the street away from passing cars. It was a stress.
So I changed it to this white 200i.

Also, is that your pretty white T-2 VW Kombi?

Yes, got it on early 90:s (-76 model) for a windsurf-wan. Back then it was only a old junk. Now it's antique what I've heard. Everybody is staring my old junk when I pass leaving nice oil-stream behind...

You do not know this but for 45 years my passion was VW Transporters!
(do you know the Bulli Kartei vintage bus club in Frankfurt, and Bad Camberg VW fairs?)
Recently I sold my '91 T-3 GL.....to also make room for my Kymco.
I had that VW Vanagon from new for 160,000 miles, for 21 years. The design was the best of any car I've ever owned - but the engine was sadly born with that wrongly engineered head-gasket cancer just waiting it's time to kill the vehicle.
You like white? And what country again?
Regards from Ohio, USA
Stig

I Live in Finland, Salo ( http://goo.gl/maps/YxQ5A )

I have broken 4 different 1600 cc engines, and as poor boy, always bought a new old junk in place. This recent one is
twitching badly after 20min drive, as getting warm.

This wan was orange, as half of the vw:s was back then, but the seller he put his pupils paint it white. He was a teacher on car mechanic vocational school if that's the right term. I'd prefer original orange, but damage was done.

OK, help me out here - I'm the typical one-tongued Gringo....
This French speaking fellow just cut this wire (on a LIKE 50cc ??) and sealed the ends from moisture - Why?
What does this accomplish?

He did cut away the rev-limiter wire on cdi. He got plenty more speed.

Actually, 96 kph is around 60 mph.  100 kph is 62 mph.  70 mph is 112 kph according to a speed calculator.

Yes, You're right. If I would get the 112kmh, I'd be very happy!
