Scooters are a lot more easily maintained than a motorcycle. Motorcycles are higher performin so thus, more maintenance and things to worry about. A scooter you can just hop on and ride. Anyone can ride one..

Plus in California you have to stay on your tip toes. When theres nice weather and a huge change, everyone always has to be morbid about it and says its earthquake weather.

Traction on a scooter?! Cmon man.. talk about over kill! I think traction and stuff like that is limited to high speed fast bikes...
