Bdy, Givi has a tall windscreen that works on the X500. Here is a link.  Works well, keeps the wind, rain and bugs off makes a comfy ride.  Unless you are real tall you will be looking through it.

No power socket on the handlebar.  I plan on putting one inside the locking pocket for GPS or CB.  I will have to run the wires myself but no big deal I did the same on my other bike and it works great and is out of the weather and out of sight when not in use.

Morning Wingman,

any chance of getting some pics of that installation? I just purchased a new 09' 500i and would like to put a GPS  unit on the scoot.

Thanks!

Hey, maybe we will meet @ the show on Sunday, or connect @ Valero Bulverde & 1604.

I ride an '07 500, the charcoal & bronze color scheme, touring windscreen, some custom graphics and trim. My wife rides blue G.V. 250.

As for rides, I just came through Wimberly enroute from Austin to San Antonio; great weather, great ride.

What's the website?

Gooood morning!

can you post a link to the "touring windscreen"? I just purchased a new 500i and it has the short wind screen, and am looking for something a little taller

Thanks!

OK so I hunter for about 2 months for a scooter that I would like a lot. Last year I purchased a china scoot via the internet, and it was "ok" . it was a nice 260cc "maxi" scooter. I put just over 2k on her and she was faithfull. No problems with her. But alas, I wanted MORE!
So, this year I hunted down my new love.  I purchased a new Kymco 500i from Otto's in Lyons,  IL (shamless plug). I was in the shop more than 5 different ti,e looking at the Burgman and the Silverwing and the Kymco. After 2 months I pulled the trigger and put my China scoot up for sale. I purchased a Brand Spanking new 500i last Saturday.

I have been lurking on the forums for a while now, but have decided to join the ranks of KYMCO :)
