Ok. I'm stumped. Need a new ring for my 70cc  Airsal T6 single ring 47.6mm bbk.
Kymco super 9 AC.
Cant find them anywhere other than Europe with ridiculous $50 shipping rates.
Any local suppliers ?

Thanks guys...yeah it could have been a fouled plug but i think i checked it. It was a while ago. I say seemed like soft seize because i was going wot and it died for about 2 seconds then picked back up while still moving and ran good until it died about 2-3 miles later. Could have been many things. I THINK I checked the plug. I know I pulled the float bowl, checked the float, vacuum line, oil,water,etc. Its stock except for 95 main ( standard derestrict as I remember) and aftermarket variator.

Check the web for people who have done it. You'll need a 70cc BBK, 19-21mm carb, expansion pipe exhaust and highway gearing.
Airsal T6 is popular with Kymco engines but some will tell you Malossi is the way to go, others Polini and others swear by metrakit.
Along with those you'll need to adapt your transmission to the jug/ pipe/gearing with new clutch springs, contra springs and a new
variator with a more aggressive ramp angle.

I got 60 mph GPS on my cobra with the same engine ( swap ) and tecnigas rs70 pipe,
so yes it is possible but the take off was a pig. But I had all the tranny work too, not stock.
And yes it was 49cc.

The kill switch is a rocker on the right handlebar.
 I think the run position is down. Also try rocking
the switch on and off a few times. Check the vacuum
line from petcock is good ( no holes ). Check the two fuses
in the battery box.

I'm sure the experts here will post soon but here are a few thoughts.
60 mph seems high for a 50cc. Mine does 50 but I weight 55lbs more than you,
so maybe. Lets figure you are doing over 50mph on the speedo.
What RPMs are you doing at this speed ?

I would first see what weight rollers you have.
They are too heavy probably, given your lack of take off
but have relatively high top speed.
Also if you have a tecnigas RS70 or RSII pipe, it's designed
for 70cc and by default you will lose some low end grunt, especially
running it on a stock jug.

If you are going up the south face of the Matterhorn it will slow right down but
a regular small hill shouldn't be a real issue. See if the RPMs drop or the speed or both and let us know.
That way we can see how you transmission is handling the load.

You can regain you bottom end by putting the stock pipe back on or change the clutch springs,
contra springs, etc and tuning the transmission to your pipe.

Yes Zombie, I agree that www.partsforscooter.com always ship on time from
my experience. It's more of a Chinese scooter , 4 stroke generic type place but they do
have some stuff that may come in handy. They have a lot of stock and cover some 2 stroke stuff.
Well worth a look. If they have they will send it !

SPI. My experience has been both good and bad.
I ordered and exhaust ( rs70 ) from them off ebay and it arrived with 2-3 weeks.
I also ordered a Airsal T6 because it was the only place at the time that said it was in stock.
I placed the order on December 12 2013. I bought a house and moved about a month after ordering it
and called to tell them change of address. All good to this point. Then as time went on I emailed , called,
left messages, over and over. Eventually I went on to their facebook page and asked if they were still
in business ( nicely ). They took that post down but I got no reply and still my calls were not returned
( always went to answer machine ). About a week later the T6 arrived - in a box from RACING PLANET !!!!!

Yes I have the info. No I didn't order if from racing planet. In all it took from 12/2/13 til 3/24/14.
That,s about 3 1/2 months according to my math.

Racing Planet. Ordered an arreche carb on 4/23/14. Just received an email yesterday saying it had been shipped.
Well notification of receipt of shipping anyway. So prob get that tomorrow or  Wednesday if I'm lucky.
So that will be 28-29 days on an order " available in or European warehouse ".
Also Racing Planet seemed to have helped out SPI with the T6.

Moped Hospital. There is a new owner there named Sean ( Shawn, Shaun ?  ) from the UK.
He was very helpful when I called and put me onto the service dept regarding jet size for a super 9
with rs70, T6. He told me that he was wanting to stock back up on parts but the suppliers demand such a high
order quantity that it was cost prohibitive. He didn't say he wouldn't but he was weighing his options.

So that's about it. The solution ? Who knows ?

My suggestion. Combine all of the established suppliers who care and have them all offer the stuff we all want.
Make it so you can pre-order from any of these suppliers and have a total til order completion displayed
on all of their web sites.

It might be tecnigas rs70 pipe kymco quantity pre-ordered 65 pcs. Qty to fill order 100 pcs.
That way they can all chip in for the min order, you can buy from who you like and you
have a fair idea of when you will receive your stuff based on how many pre-orders needed
to complete order.
