OK I pushed and pulled and got both sides open. I pulled the seat and underseat  bucket. I have access to both latches. Oiled both and they are working smoothly. BUT do not see any movement In either latch.I am going to try and get some oil down the cables. Any ideas on getting oil inti thecable.

 >:(I did the reach under the front and pulled the cable. That released the right side but the left side did not release.i did this many times with no luck. TIA.

Met in light remains on when seat is closed and latched. Pushed down on back of seat did not help. >:( Is ther e a way to adjust or disconnect the light?

Ole. I have a charger with the pigtail. I was looking for a easier way to attach it. Tomorrow the seat and pan will be pulled off. Thanks everyone for the help.

I have a 2011 Downtown. Is there a way to hook up battery charger without removing seat and seat pan. There is a small hatch over the battery. Inside is some kind of connector. Opening is too small for my hand. Thanks in advance.

Found the plug under the seat marked VIN. Pulled the plug and did not see a VIN. Do I need to do something else? I need VIN for my ins. co. They think something is wrong.  Thanks
