You can get parts at http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/kymco.html the boss drive isnt very expensive or hard to do and it will definatly increase speed you should do the variator weights while your doing the boss drive also rejetting the carb will help performance a #85 Jet will do fine my Kymco does about 47 mph and is almost completely derestricted

Agility 50 / Derestricting your Agility Very Easy
« on: July 02, 2009, 08:14:17 PM »
I have been doing work on my Agility for the past few weeks, and I have gotten quite a bit of speed and acceleration out of it.  Without getting the big bore kit which I will do at a later time when I am ready to.  For those who are looking to derestrict here are most of the basics.

Cutting the CDI is the first step I took and the best.  Locate approxamatly the center of the cdi and cut into it slowly this is the side of the cdi with the plug but the oppisite end of the plug the cdi is located in the battery storage on your scooter and is a small black box make sure you cut the small wire in the cdi if you cut too deep you will damage it and have to get a new one

Second the boss variator and weights these are located where your belt is on your scooter for those who would like to do these modifications I recommend you go on youtube.com and type in Kymco agility variator weights or something to that effect there is a tem min. instructional video on how to do this once again it is very easy as long as you follow the steps in the video be careful when you pull the variator out while there are clips on the back end that fit in some grooves you do not want to lose these

There is also a vid on youtube on clutch mod's as well

Fuel filter also will increase performance

Rejetting the carb.  It is a lot easier to rejett the carb if you take the seat off first it is only a few bolts and a couple clips just dont force it.  The carb is held on by three bolts and is easily taken off in the bottom bowl of the carb you will see the jet just unscrew and screw the new jet in easy as pie Hopefully this info will be as helpfull to you as it has been to me

Also has anyone tried running their scooter with 3 variator rollers, If so did it increase performance or should i just go ahead and order lighter rollers?

What about a new air filter will that help? I actually lost some speed when I put the jet in after cutting the cdi

Go to http://www.monsterscooterparts.com/street-scooter-clutches.html   They seem like they are resonably priced and have the best decriptions of parts

what was involved in replacing the rollers, and how many rollers are in the variater also did you replace the varierator as well and what was involved with that

I cut mine where the pictures showed and i had no problems so far I was worried when i did it but i went for it and it worked great now my scooter is doing 45-47 on flat ground or slight downhill slope but on any up hill it wont do the 45 even slight uphill but it was worth it but make sure to be carefull when you cut it you will know when it is ready as long as you watch while you cut dont cut without paying attention go slow

I cut the cdi and the scooter ran great. Then i rejetted the carb and the scooter showed no change it even seemed like it wasnt as quick as it was before the jet came with the scooter when i bought it I was wondering if there was something extra i needed to do to get more performance, or if i should just put the old jet in it.  I know the jet that came with it was a bigger jet because they wanted to charge me to put it in so i just did it my self
