Technical | How To / Re: Headlights cut out above idle - '09 Super 8 150

my headlight did the same thing, I turned the idle up just a bit and it solved the problem, after a few hundred miles from new things may need some adjustments, you should go over your scooter from time to time as screws and bolts do come loose, good luck with your s8.

thanks, I do have the owners manual but it doesn't tell you what body panels have to come off, I'll start removing screws and playing around with it today.

so what is the first step, I want to get a little more take off to start with and then try to add a little speed, the main thing is I want my scooter to be reliable, if someone has done a mod. it would be great to know, like what exhaust, air cleaner and jets worked well for them, it would take some of the guess work and cost out of it, there are so many things that can be done, but I will not have a never ending bank acount. I have been looking on craigs list for a good deal on a gy6 150 engine to do a winter bulid on, then I can get parts as needed while I keep riding the super8 and do a swap when it's finished. then again when you get the bug your never finished hahaha

picked mine up last friday, more fun then my sport bike,  the seat is kinda funny being sloped down I may cut it out a bit so I can sit in the bike, I also lost the back cover on the muffler I'll see if the dealer will replace it.
