Just pulled the trigger on a Viper Elite 4500. MotoAlliance usually sells them for $439. They are on sale right now for $329. That right there is a great deal. But I also had an Ebay coupon code for 15% off. Plus free shipping. So to the door was $280. If this winch is as good as the reviews claim then it was a screaming deal.

2018 Kymco UXV 450i= bolt on winch mounting plate. It comes with the machine but dealer did not install it. I now have it. All is good.

I kinda had the same thought. But it is a very reputable dealer that has been in business a long time. And comes highly recomended. Didn't have a problem when I said I wanted the mount, so I'm willing to give them the benefit of the doubt.

if it is standard equipment regardless weather you bought the winch or not it seems to me it should have been installed or at the very least ask you if you want it put on cause if not the dealer now has a free mounting plate that he can charge full price to some unsuspecting person that should happen to come along and has a winch put on their machine.

Thanks Airshot. What size winch do you have? I know rule of thumb says to go 1.5 X your listed vehicle weight for minimum rated line pull on a winch. Well that would put me at just over 1600 lbs. So like a 2000 lb winch. I was looking at a 3500 lb winch. My thought being more line pull would be better. Or is that just overkill?

No. They still come with the mounting plate. I will be picking it up from the dealer at no charge.

So now that my winch mount conundrum is over, I am looking for a new winch. Not wanting to spend more that like $200. Any suggestions fellas? Was looking at the Superatv Black Ops winch. Anybody have experience with Superatv winches?

I called the dealer. He says they only install them when someone gets a winch installed on their machine. So I was not blind. I will pick up the mount next time I go into town.

Ok. I was prepared for a battle, but this ended up being a super easy fix. I took off the plastic housing around the steering shaft just to realize that all i needed to do was pop off the steering wheel bolt cover in the middle of the steering wheel. Using a flat head screw driver i pushed the bushing surrounding the shaft back down into the hole. Fixed. Hopefully this does not work itself out often but if it does it is an easy fix.

Hey guys. Just brought home a new 2018 450i. To my understanding they come with a pre installed winch mounting plate. But I am just not seeing it. Maybe I am just blind, but I don't think so. Could I ask someone with a 450 to take a pic that shows exactly what I am looking for?
