for my little stand on scooter and my nitro RC cars white smoke is a sign of running too rich. I think what was happening is... because I plugged the breather line some oil and gas were coming through the exhaust pipe.
I tested it again with the 95 jet and its bogs for half seconds at a time.
I guess I need like 100 or 105 jet?

Once I get this straightened out im done messing with my scooter. Im ready to move up. I plan on getting a sports bike soon like a Ninja 250r, 650r or a used R6 is I can afford it.

I decided to try a 90 jet and the scooter wouldnt go past 30mph..and there was white smoke coming out of the exhaust.
I also plugged the breather line on the head cap cause I didnt know what else to do with it and it blew off when i was running the engine.

guess Ill try a plug chop

I just installed a K&N filter too. ive got a 70cc kit installed but the carb and exhaust are stock. when I get to about half throttle the engine begins getting loud and continues all the way to full throttle...ive got a #95 jet in the carb right now. It doesnt have much power compared to when I had the stock air box on with #85 jet installed. Could it be running too rich?

i recently placed an order at scootertronics for a 47mm head for my 70cc kit...an air filter and slider weights. a few days after I placed the order my credit card company called saying there were some unusual activity on the card. There was a charge from some company in japan for around $250..and a charge of $50 for an online dating membership or something. So I wanted to cancel my card. I wanted to see if the $250 was maybe parts that were ordered by scotertronics even though my order total was only $130. I called scootertronics to see if they charged me for my order and the lady I spoke with said they did. I checked my card to see if the charge was there but the only thing that showed up were those two odd charges. Im not saying it was scootertronics that is responsible for those charges but it does seem kind of odd to me. I hadnt made any purchases recently prior to scootertronics.

I received my order today but they only sent the slider weights and head..and the head/valves are the exact same size as my stock head..I ordered a 47mm for my 70cc kit.

Agility 50 / Re: Valve Timing
« on: August 29, 2009, 05:23:40 AM »
I figured out what position the cam should be in but it doesnt say what position the piston should be when you install the timing chain on the cam gear. Theres a picture of the piston completely extended after they removed the head so im just gonna assume thats where it should be when you attach the cam gear to the timing chain.

Is there a way to set the timing for the valves and piston. Like markings on the gear, chain..etc.
I installed a 70cc piston and cylinder kit and I couldnt get my scooter started cause the timing was off...I changed it a lil..got the scooter started..but i wanna make sure the timing is 100% correct.

what is the jet needle..is that the same thing as the mix screw? and which one is the mix screw or jet needle. the only one I see to adjust is the idle screw.

It happens at about half throttle..its not that bad during the day but at night when its colder it happens more often and again thats with a 85 main jet.
