Agility 125 / Electric Start

Hey guys.

My electric start NEVER starts my bike anymore. Won't even turn over or make a sound at all when engaging the electric start (its completely silent). Yes,  the battery is charged (brakes + blinkers work), and I have a brand new spark plug, but nothing. After 6-12 strikes with the kick start, it fires up and runs perfectly. But it never cranks with the electric start anymore. Any ideas?

Hey guys and gals,

I live in Boston, MA. I have a 125 CC scooter that requires a license plate. Well, I park on the sidewalk because parking on the street makes no sense at all when it's beyond limited enough for cars alone as it is. I got a ticket yesterday! For the first time EVER for parking on the sidewalk.

This infuriates me and is so senseless because: A scooter of the exact same physical size as mine can park on the sidewalk without being ticketed if it is 50cc (not requiring a license plate).

My question,

Can I just take my license plate off the rear and store it inside the under seat storage? (1) No one can tell the difference. (2) Is it legal to keep your license plate inside your vehicle as opposed to on the rear?

I keep a hand-held bike pump in my scooter at all times.  Mostly just use it to add a bit of air that's needed here or there to keep the correct PSI in the tires.  In case of an emergency flat however, it would take you less time to walk home, retrieve a pump, walk back, and pump up the tires vs. sitting there all day and night with the hand-held pump.

When I first bought my Agility I had similar problems.  Some days it ran like a charm and others not at all.  The starter would do it's job, but the engine wouldn't turn over.  I too took it to the dealership 2-3 times to have it solved and each time they thought it was fixed.  Finally, they found a pinch in the fuel line way in the back.  Took it out, replaced it with a new fuel line and haven't had one problem since.  Often times it's simple issues like this that can keep it from running.  Try double checking your fuel lines for kinks.

Depending on what model alarm system you get, they are pretty plug and play for the most part. Most of them just need battery 12+ and a ground and attach some sensors with double sided tape. Careful if you don't use the bike every day, the alarms do drain power when the key is off.

This is 'essentially' the alarm that I have. Not entirely sure how to install so I was hoping someone with a similar setup could give me some pointers.  Also, my battery is under my footboard, and all the attachments are under the plastic cover on top of the head light.  I'll need to figure out a way to make the two connect.

My Trans isn't manual it's auto. So maybe I do need trans fluid instead of gear oil?

Here we go again.  It's time for me to replace me trans fluid / gear oil and I'm a little confused as well.  It sounds like from other members here that for Scooters, located towards the back that you insert Gear Oil and NOT Transmission Fluid.  My owner's manual says otherwise?  :o
