Technical | How To / 2007 - Xciting 250cc Drivebelt
« on: February 09, 2016, 01:27:41 PM »
Hi all,

I have a 2007 Kymco Xciting 250cc, and I need a new drivebelt and rollers.  As the bike was not an official UK import, Kymco UK cannot help me.

I've got the roller weights (21g), but I cannot find the belt size, and as the belt has shed its outer layer I cannot even see what is written on it anymore so I don't know.

Can anyone help me out with the drivebelt diamensions or direct me somewhere so I can find it. (length + Teeth + Angle).

Many thanks

Doing some more reading on this site, had a look at http://www.kymcopartsmonster.com

But $134, for a small bit of pipe, surely not?

General Discussion / Help a UK owner - Xciting Exhaust question
« on: July 20, 2015, 06:50:48 PM »
1st post  :)

So I bought a 2007 Xciting 250cc a few months ago, and so far I'm having a nightmare with the exhaust on it.

Basically, it keeps snapping at the manifold (Header).  It's been welded several times, but it just cracks again below the weld.  I think its just the sheer vibrations are literally snapping the exhaust each time. (I have just read in the Xciting 250 forum that this may be the rear muffler exahust bolts not being tight enough).

So, I need a new downpipe to the silencer (muffler, I guess its majority USA owners?).

My question is, as its an import, will an Xciting 300 exhaust manifold fit? Finding parts is an utter nightmare so I'm hoping that a part from another model will fit.  I don't want a "performance" exhaust as its a lot of money, and I may have the option to get a custom downpipe made, but if the 300 Xciting (or downtown is the other one I heard of) fits, then I can contact my local dealer and get one of those.

Can anyone help?  I can get a picture if its not clear.
