The TPS don't really matter if is plug in or not. I am running after market slider carb and I just zip tie the TPS harness somewhere on the frame

Movie 150 / Performance Upgrade Part 4

Has been a while since I work on my Scooter mainly due to the winter season, I was snowboarding instead of riding.
This time I installed a 63mm big bore kit plus high lift cam. Installation wasn't too difficult, take no more than half day. Performance gain on this BBK are amazing, especially off the line. My setup includes BBK, high lift cam, performance CDI, pipe, variator, clutch spring and 28mm carb, I was able to hit 70 mph+.
Installing BBK doesn't require removing the motor, but it does make it easier, especially when removing and installing the Piston.
Got an extra head, For future plans, gonna send my stock head to have bigger valves install plus port and polish

Parts are not too hard to find oversea, but in the US would be difficult.Most 150cc scooter are actually 149cc, so they are not really Freeway legal in California.

I am in the process of removing the plastic under the rear brake light and re-positioning my license plate. Any advice would be great since I don't know how to activate my rear internal turn signals.
To re positioning the license plate, just get a steel bracket that already have pre drilled hole from home depot, when you remove the stock rear fender, you will see a plastic hole in the bottom middle of the rear light housing, just simply mount the bracket onto that plastic hole with nut and bolt and washer. TO activate the rear internal turn signal, you have to cut the wires that were going into the outside signal light, and connect it to the cutted wires to the bulb sockets of the internal turn signals

Takamura Exhaust Pipe:
This Pipe is made for Kymco Racing 150, it bolts right up with 2 mounting bolts instead of 3 bolts like the stock pipe, it has a small carbon fiber heat shield and stainless piping and black muffler, it doesn't stand out as other bing bing pipes that are full polish or full carbon fiber, is sleeper type of pipe. Is a half chamber and half straight design, not as quiet as stock but not as loud as a straight pipe. Good for stock 150cc or later upgrade big bore to 63mm piston.
Performance CDI:
It replace that stock CDI unit that is located inside the front panel of the scooter.
Performance intake manifold with universal throttle cable:
With this intake manifold, I am ready to install my old OKO 28mm flat slide carb, also now i can get rid of all the garbage emission stuffs.

Recently, I received a package from a friend oversea with some goodies for my scooter, there are some performance parts and cosmetic parts.
The cosmetic parts are:

My Dunlop TT93 Tires came in and I got it install. The size are different than the stock tires, they are FRONT 100/90/12 and REAR 120/80/12, the tires are Narrower and Taller than stock setup, but it does provide superior traction, great handling and more lean angle on corners. The Cons are the scooter now seats higher and speedometer is off 2 or 3 mph due to larger circumference of the Front tire.
Last Sunday, I went to the track and test out the handling of the scooter, it ride like a sports bike, but of course the lean angle and speed will not be like a sports bike.

Movie 150 / Performance Upgrade Part 2.

After I installed my Variator, Clutch, front caliper, and quick throttle, My next upgrade are the rear suspensions.
There are many brands to choose from: RPM, NCY, RRGS, Stage 6 etc. I chose GEARS RACING model HILL-2 rear shocks for my Scooter. The shocks come with a REAL reservoir and are fully adjustable from spring preload, compression, height, and rebound.
This particular model is made for Street and Track, therefore is not super stiff on road and perform outstanding on turns. Riding my Scooter with the GEARS RACING shocks gives me more confidence on the road especially when i hang a sweeper turn.
I also ordered some Dunlop TT93 street/track tires. Once i get those tires installed, I will goto the local mini bike track and test it out.

I got all my parts from my friend who was planning to purchase a Movie 150 back in 2013. He bought the Variator, clutch, and brake in Taiwan first, but because Movie 150's Retail was too high, he didn't purchase it, so he have this parts in hand and i bought it off from him.
Me and my friends are originally from Taiwan then moved to Southern California, we are into Scooter Racing and performance, we mostly do track racing at the local go-cart/mini bike track.
Most of the parts only can be find in Taiwan, I do go back once a year for vacation and visit, next time i go visit might be March next year. Every time i go visit, i do bring back some scooter parts mainly for 2 stroke Dio scooters, but next time for sure i will bring back some 150 parts.
According to my friends, the Movie 150 variator is same as any GY6 150 performance Variator, so you can just purchase any GY6 150 Variator. Clutch spring and triplet springs are also compatible except the rear Clutch, MOVIE 150's rear clutch is bigger.
Stock Movie's roller weight are 13g x 6. when i change my Variator, i put 12g x 6 match with 1500 clutch spring, I still need to tune it a bit, gonna try 11g or 10g.
