Call me curios, is a wussy a female wuss? You people remind me of my students asking me all the time how fast my MC would go.
wimp+pussy = wussy

I have a 2012 GTI300 with about 650 miles. I put Dr Pulley 14g sliders and a iridium spark plug in it. I was riding out in the country and hit 80 effortlessly and pretty quickly. There was more left, but I ran out of road and nerve. I weigh about 215.

Wow. That's great to hear. I am waiting for my Dr. Pulley and Iridium plug as well. Can't wait to service it with my new parts.

My mother-in-law was looking at my new LIKE 163i scooter the othe day, specifically at the speedometer - she said to my father-in-law, "Don, this will go 100 miles per hour!"  I winked at him and said, "Yep, and I've ordered a new 120 MPH speedometer so I can go even faster!"

When I was in grade school... I usually look at car's speedos to determine its power... If the speedo reads 120 mph max... that's no good... I usually am impressed with 140-150mph speedos...  ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D

Got mine up to a little past 90 mph indicated last weekend. And that was at 5000 feet elevation. About as fast as I really want to go in it!  It's got some poop!

Don't the DT300i and the People 300i use the same engine? Why would the DT have more horsepower?

2013 GT, stock.

A few days ago I got the GT up to 92 on speedo.
A car was in slow lane and another was blocking the passing lane. Had to shut down.
Think I could have made 95 if I had not been blocked.
195 pound rider.
Plan to try again when I catch a calm day and clear roads.
Will have synthetic oil in when I try again.
Very confident it will hit 95 on speedo.
Not sure about accuracy of my speedo.
The GT pulls from 15-70 very quickly.

90mph on a scooter..........
You guys are nutty -
I know lots of people share your interest in this kind of thing, but my explanation for this type of behavior is: "Those people have no imagination."

Ride safe.

Stig,

I respect what you are saying, and I don't plan to make it a habit of going that fast. But, these GTi300s are really a motorcycle with the convenience of a scooter!  ;D

In my opinion; up to 75 mph, it feels really stable and good, pushing it to 90 is OK for some short spurts like quickly passing. I don't plan on spending a lot of time there. After installing my Biondi windshield I plan to try it again to see how it feels.

Agreed.

I had my Downtown at it's top speed very often on the open roads, which was 85-90mph,
depending on the wind (huge windscreen and topcase don't help).

It behaves better then my Kawasaki 650R did at those speeds.

OK, sounds like you guys are not so nutty - I just worry about fellows at those high speeds on 400lbs of spot welds and plastic running with all those steel cars and  texting  drivers.
How the deuce do those 10" wheeled big engined Vespas do these speeds on interstates?

I did a 2 way average using GPS with about 600 break in miles on the bike, 83MPH. Also took the bike to the local 1/8 mile drag strip, best time was 11.358 at 60.008 MPH. This is quicker that my old Yamaha Majesty 400, Aprillia Atlantic 500 and a friends Kymco 500. The Aprillia and Kymco 500 did run slightly faster MPH. Planning on making a few mod's to help performance a little in the coming weeks. Will keep you posted.

Had the GTi out to the drags again last Sun. Wanted to see what happens with light rollers. I drilled the stock roller out about 3/32". Not a lot of difference in weight, I like to take small steps and see what each step does for performance. Ran a best of 10.962 @ 61.743 mph. Top speed is the same and if anything the MPG has improved a little. See previous post for stock times.
