I'm sorry I didn't read this post sooner. All of the engines I have worked on required the engine to be warmed up BEFORE the final valve adjustment. This compensates for the expansion of the parts. Perhaps Kymco has taken this into consideration w/ their specs., but I would try to find out from their tech. support. 1mm cold could easily be an open valve when hot. Not trying to throw a wrench at you, it just seems awful tight for a cold adjustment,which I believe could give you some resonance through the intake or exhaust. (bubbling sound) Ps I would try to get an answer from a top tech, not a mechanic! Sorry if this affects your sleep...
