This is in response to a few posts about us "warm winter guys" bitching about the weather.  I live in Florida and am able to ride all year round.  So if your in the cold and the scoot is packed away for the winter...just sit back and let Uncle Hound's blog take you there.

I live in a warm weather climate. Yes, I can go riding all year around which is great. Here in Las Vegas, NV we do get winter. Try going to work at 6 in the morning where lows get into the 20's. Yes, you read that right. I had my winter gear on for my 40 minute commute to work and I was still cold.  Florida is probably the only state in the country that has warm weather all year round.  Than again if we want any of the white stuff we can drive up to Mount Charleston, travel up to Utah, or head to Big Bear in So. Cal.

Trust me...it gets cold here too.  No snow (Thank God) but it can be in the low 10's (high 20 F).

I'm currently enjoying the Florida weather right now myself. Missed out on the -20F at home But I know I'll see more of that when I get home.

This time of the year, we get "imported wind" (from Siberia)... Dry land, hot sun, but cold wind... ain't that a nice day for ridin"...

Tomorrow, I finally get to ride safely my Downtown. Too much ice around here since last Thursday afternoon.  Had fun when the freezing rain started to come down last Thursday.  My dash and my seat were covered with ice.  I could not see my gauges and I did slide off my seat while rocking my scooter off the center stand.  I was lucky that I had less than 1.5 mile ride home in the freezing rain.

I rode to work today glad the ice has moved on thru for now. Suppose to be 24 in the morning. Its gonba be cold but atleast I'm not in my cage.

I'll ride if the streets are clear of salt.. That's not the case to day and it won't be for a few months..

But I've ridden my 10 mile ride to work when it was as cold as 7F. I just wear snowmobile gear and actually arrive warm and comfortable.

Co-workers think I'm nutz and aren't afraid to tell me so.. I mention that it's the same gear I wear when I'm snowmobiling and nobody thinks I'm nuts??
