Hey guys,
working on a friends 06 MXU 300, came in my shop with a dead battery and wouldn't start when hooked up to batt charger.
put a new ignition box in and battery due to ignition box bubbled and melted on the back, ran great after.
now its back 3 months later same condition, got the atv running and found that its overcharging and has cooked the water out of the battery.
my question is, do the stators short out normally or is the voltage regulator box solely responsible for getting the voltage in check as to not smoke the entire electrical system?
