Reported previously that a vacuum is forming in my fuel tank.
1) scoot runs fine with gas cap removed.
2) vacuum forms after scooter is parked for a time - always
3) vaccum noted sometimes during a stop to refuel on cold days
For whatever reason the tank seems to expell air at times - but, having a one-way valve, it cannot then inhale air, so a vacuum forms.
Does not cause any operating issues.....scoot runs fine.
Weird.
If it gets to be an operating issue then I will disconnect the tank's vent hose to the canister - plug that canister opening and let the hose hang from the tank.
Since the engine runs fine with the gas cap off - removing the vent hose and letting the tank breath should have no effect on anything other than the emissions.
Still chuckling about the Van Damme Volvo spoof using 2 scooters.
