Jumping RPM's
« on: March 22, 2014, 06:05:57 PM »
Ok so after a carb rebuild, tuning, and a new fuel filter all but one problems fixed. My 2005 LC S9 is totally stock except boss drive and I am having a issues with dyeing still. Scoot runs fine until I run at about 7000 rpm for about 25 minutes then when I stop my RPM's jump quickly between about 3000 and 3800 and then the scoot dies. If I let it sit for about 8 minutes it starts up fine and goes back to normal. Anyone know what could be causing this?

Well its been awhile and I am still stumped. I fear I may have to take it to a mechanic although I prefer doing it myself. Does anybody have even a guess of what could cause this problem?

Well the CD controls the spark and RPM. Check if there's maybe a loose ground wire.
If not I'd try a new one for giggles before bringing it anywhere...
