Was out riding today, and after riding for a while, I stopped at a light and the Super 8 stuttered for a second and died.
It started right back up without trouble, but seemed to be idling really rough.
I got home and started going through everything. The throttle play was fairly excessive, so (thanks to a great video wkreps posted a while back) I adjusted it. I also set the idle screw up a little. It all seemed a little better when I fired it up.
THEN, I notice an unplugged wire. I followed it back, and it was the wire for the electric choke! I found the other end and plugged it back in, and then I went for a test ride. It seemed to be fine at stops. I got back home and let it idle in the driveway, and it idled as smooth as the day I bought it.
SO, here's the stupid question-
Does the electric choke engage anytime the engine is idling with no throttle input? I thought it only engaged when the engine was cold. Either way, it's running fine now.
