I would take the scoot in for a test ride after flashing, to make sure it was done right,.

It's a side by side. Now could I just purchase a new cdi and I'll have the power and rpm that I had before or should I take it in and get it flashed or can I just take the computer out and ship it to get flashed, nearest shop is three hours away

You can "flash" any EFI computer on ANY vehicle by disconnecting the ground wire from the battery for 30 seconds or longer. Five minutes would make sure. I would guess the Service Manual for that machine probably has a procedure to do the same thing without tools.

That would tell me the TPS is not set properly and/or the TPS and ISC has not been initialized (maybe). You are stuck with needing access to a service manual at least for a start, and a Kymco EFI analyzer the dealer SHOULD have.
