ps250 owners manual
« on: August 17, 2009, 12:15:32 AM »
Could someone out there send me a copy of the page (s) from the owners manual that describes the setting of the round odometer , trip meters, time, etc. I just recently bought an '09 PS250, and the fellow selling it didn't know where the manual was. The service manual does not have this info in it. Thanks very much.

I will scan these pages for you and email them.  You should really try and find a manual - it's hilarious!

Can you also scan the owners manual instructions for resetting service indicator?  I bought p250 used and don't have a manual.
Thank you,

I quote:

(3)Press and hold button B (the right one as you face them) until 5 seconds:service mode selection.  After above procedure, please to press and hold button B until 2 seconds to turn back mode ODO/TRIP function.

(4) Service rese:   (would it kill you to hire an English speaking proofreader??)  (my spellchecker is screaming at me)
Press and hold button A
and B until 2 seconds
simultaneously to reset to
zero when at service
function

My attempt to translate - hold down right button for 5 seconds to get into service mode, then hold both buttons for 2 seconds to reset, then hold down right button again for 2 seconds to get out of service mode.

Ispud, thank you for instructions, unfortunately I have P250, that doesn't have right or left buttons.  I tried to use top and bottom buttons, but it didn't work.
Thank you again

On the P250, the service indicator is reset by inserting a key into the slot on the back side of the headset, below the instrument cluster. It's mechanical, not electronic.

Is it do-it yourself activity?
What kind of a key it is?
Are instructions in the service manual?

Thank you.

Any key. Your Kymco key works just fine. JUST PUSH IT IN THE SLOT.

jprestonian,

This worked!  It is very simple.

I really appreciate your help and, I'm sure, everyone else.

Thank you
